My game crashing when I clicking on slave that I get. In warning.txt "Local count for script 'slaveScript' (Live Free.esp)' differs from local count for saved reference data." Can somebody help?
The dialogue option to claim slave is not appearing, does anyone know what it is? I can sell slaves but I can't actually take them. For example, the slaves in the starting cave near Seyda Neen I only have the dialogue option to "go free".
You actually made a mod that promotes slavery? SLAVERY? You are making into a game one of the greatest tragedies in mankind's history? You make me sick. And it makes me sick Bethesda even included slavery in their game.
Slavery is as old as humanity, and nearly every people has been enslaved by another people at some point in earth's history. There are more slaves being held captive today than there ever have been in history.
That said, there are a number of mods that focus on abolitionist playthroughs. You might want to check out either Brother Juniper's or Nerena's Twin Lamps quest mods. In addition, Cyrano's Slave Escort adds more depth to freeing slaves and helping them escape to freedom.
Dunmeri culture has no connection to modern morality -- of the three immortals who championed their separation from other Mer, one is the Daedric Prince of Deceit, another is the Webspinner, who founded the Morag Tong, an official, legitimate assassins' guild that will murder anyone they're paid enough to, and the third is often treated as almost superfluous to the other two. Almsivi were traitors who caused the Chimer to be cursed and changed into the Dunmer after their betrayal of their leader Nerevar; ruled the Dunmer with a rather tight fist for centuries, destroying many important traditions, like clan ghostfences, for the sake of suppressing the negative effects of their betrayal; and did their best to co-opt as much of the veneration of Boethiah, Mephala, and Azura as they could. With all this as part of Dunmer culture, slavery is what you take issue with? Do you throw a fit when stories and games set before the abolition of slavery include it, too? I actually thought the way slavery was included (considered an 'ancient right' of the Dunmer much like the 'peculiar institution' of the South) was tastefully done -- it added to the clash of culture that was so central to the game, with native outrage at the Empire for the restrictions it imposed, the Empire's refusal to enforce the very laws it guaranteed, and outlanders showing their contempt for a central part of their economy (House Dres' saltrice plantations operate entirely on slave labor) mirroring the South's outrage at how the northern states generally ignored most of the laws on the books for reclamation of escaped slaves, and how many northerners who moved to the South felt justified in attacking what was, right or wrong, a vital part of the Southern economy.
can you sell the back to the trader if you dont want them? i wish you could just re-sell the slaves you find in the caves. just for immersion being a slavetrader
I'm not sure where this problem is arising, but I'm unable to actually buy slaves - for example, when I try to purchase slaves in Molag Mar, I receive an error message that's something like, '[slave name]freed variable not found in molagmarslavescript.' The dialogue elapses normally, but no gold is removed from my inventory, and the slave still has the generic 'go free' topic as if I hadn't just purchased them.
I am not sure what is wrong, but the slaves I rescued from the cave near Seyda neen do not wear any armour whether it is light, medium or heavy. Only Domina armor and Dark brotherhood armor seems to work. Can someone tell me if it is a bug ?
you can? just tell the ones you dont want to sell to wait, and then choose sell sorry if im being stupid lol and you already did this and its an actual bug
Anyone know why my slaves aren't following me? They wander and everything properly before I own them, but once I do, they just stay in one place. They do teleport to me if I move to far away, but they're not actually walking with me.
Thanks for the mod! Question: Are the slaves in this mod able to follow you when you use mark and recall? If the answer is yes, it's probably a multiple mark/recall that I'm using that's not letting them follow me. If not, I can at least rule out the conflict.

Very strange.
