While I havent had the exact experiance the other guy had, there are ALOT of these fuckers.... like dear god, towns have them to levels I'd expect plagues. If you go outside your gonna find 3-4 groups every time, of about 3-5... On Normal anyway. Not a huge deal as long as you kill them off, but be advised this is not a few rats here or there, its a ton... maybe an option to reduce the amount of pack size like with other mods?
...but it doesn't say which single esp to enable if you have both Tribunal and Bloodmoon installed. Or do you have to choose one rat addition or the other, but can't have both?
Okay If you don't have BM or TR then just use the main esp. If you also have BM... then the BM esp will also add the BM rats along with the main rats. If you also have TR... then the TR esp will add both BM and TR along with the main rats... (That's what the "In addition..." was meant to imply ;) )
So only enable one of the three esps..
If you enable all 3 then you will get the main rats x3 plus the BM rats x2
As someone who loves rats, you'd expect me to love this mod just as much. But this mod is a long, slow burn of pain that will never fade. I hate this mod. I really do. But my love of rats keeps me from uninstalling. I just need to vent about my struggles. The description on Nexus claims that the mod changes the leveled list for rats to include many different colored rats, such as white, tan, black, grey, brown, and so on. It also mentions the occasional rat encounter in cities. Sounds fine, right? Nope. This mod is pain. Outside of cities, I encountered only the standard rats, not once did I find a single colored rat in 40 hours of play. In Balmora and Caldera especially I found dozens and dozens of clustered rats everywhere, making the town lag immensely from the 30 or so rats on screen. They also filled the sewers in Vivec to such a degree I couldn't complete the Puzzle Canal and had to cheat. The worst part was the docks, which were covered in an unbroken carpet of rats that created so much lag and clipping I had to use levitation to reach the ship captains.
But the torment doesn't end there. Lag and passages being blocked wasn't the only issue. This mod is pain, as I mentioned. In addition to the colored rats, which are passive, normal, hostile rats spawn in the cities too! Wonderful now in Balmora, at docks, in Caldera, etc. I get interrupted every 15 seconds by the combat music and a rat attacking! Great! The guards also automatically aggro them, which leads to a group of around 3 or 4 guards clustering up and blocking my way. The rats also spawn in groups, and it wasn't until I reached Mournhold and acquired the Royal Guard Armor that the struggles of 6 rats at once gnawing me to death ended (I play on the highest difficulty as I kinda know all the tricks to get an OP weapon, lol)
Rats Galore is pain. Rats Galore is suffering. Rats Galore is a horrible mod. And Rats Galore is a mod I will never uninstall, because I fucking love rats so much.
It's been around for more then 8 (EIGHT) years now (First released on PES and actually download more than a thousand times) and no one else has had the problems you describe. So I would suggest that it is probably clashing with some other mod you are using which is effecting 'your' levelled list.
I will not however be making any changes to it myself as I no longer play or mod Morrowind... but you can always look at and adjust 'your' levelled list yourself.
