This is a surprisingly charming mod that adds some player housing and services to Vivec's High Fane after the player has completed part of the Tribunal Temple faction. The lodgings provided are fairly basic, with some storage and access to books as well as an NPC that'll provide you with various goods. The main element of the mod is a number of delightful notes and journals that make for a wonderful background story, and there's even a quest and dungeon to compliment it. The quest dialogue is pretty good, and leaves the player to make their own choices without the typical dialogue prompt. There is a slight problem with the quest rewards, which are worth a tidy fortune, but seeing as the quest is only accessible after the player has reached the end of the Temple faction, it's perhaps permissible to have some high-end rewards.

Now my biggest complaint is the interior lighting, which is set to a very bland default level, and as the author is unlikely to come back to do an update for this mod (it has been eight years after all), I'll leave a tutorial here for other players who might wish to try out this small but excellent mod. To start with, load the mod in the Construction Set, select World->Interior Cell and scroll down to "Vivec, High Fane Basement" and "Vivec, High Fane Cavern". Set the lighting levels to a similar setting as seen here. Click apply and save the mod, and when you load it, you should have a fairly cozy-feeling interior as seen here. Now you will need to clean the mod, as currently there are dirty dialogue references present. To do this, I'd recommend TESPCD, and you can use this tutorial as a guide on how to use it.

Overall this is a fine mod that sadly seems to have been overlooked by Oblivion when it released, and largely forgotten by the passage of time. It's still worth checking out and playing though, especially if you have a priestly character! Endorsed.

Mod name: High Fane Expanded - Fixed

    Mod description:
The basement is large enough to be usable as a comfortable
home for those Temple faithful who do not have the inclination
to join a Great House and build a stronghold. This is not
a palace or castle - it is a modest place, just as most
Temple priests would prefer.

As this is a restricted area, access to the High Fane basement
is granted freely ONLY to Temple members. Others will have to
sneak, ensorcell, or fight their way in.

IMPORTANT: This is a bug-fixed version. One of the
legendary artifacts in the initial release had a
typo in its properties, making it much less desireable.
If you haven't visited the cells added by this plugin
yet, you should be able to overwrite the old plugin with
this one without any problems. If you *have* visited the
new cells, you may notice some items are missing or
doubled in those cells only. Sorry, I don't know how
to fix that. Cleaned with TESAME as always.
