I can't get the Legendary ME2 save file to work with Gibbed. Unsupported file error pops up when I try. I don't see the option for it on the Trilogy Save Editor either.

The options are also in the Trilogy Save Editor

If anyone else is struggling to get TIM's eyes in Mass Effect 3 Legendary Edition, check out the github page for the old Gibbed TIM Eyes preset here. Make the same changes manually, for the vector changes use 1 as a value instead of the <0 values, customize Emis_Color to your liking and you're good to go!

THIS IS BULLSHIT. It doesn't fucking work. I followed every single step and the iris turns completely black!

Sir, Can I ask you for a little guidance on how you build that face in the photos?
Did you used mods? Can you name a few?
Can you give the facecode for it?
    tnx in advance.

There never was, you need to use the method mentioned on the description page.

Transfered a female shepard save from ME1 with default head. Dunno why, but in a save its defined as a custom head. So i was able to make this eyes on a default head.

Another small warning I forgot to mention about using this method. If you like to use the armors such as Blood Dragon, Terminus, or Inferno be aware that whatever color you set the Emis_Color to will also change the Glow color on the body of said armors.

For Example if you set the Emis_Color to 0.2,0.2,0.2,1 which is basically a grey/white and then equip one of the armors mentioned the parts of the body that usually glow will show in that grey/white instead of the red or orange like they normally do.

Normally this would be fine if it effected the head as well but it doesn't.

This was driving me crazy until I loaded an unchanged save and figured it out. Really hoping there's a fix, tried the mod that removes the red highlights from Terminus and that was close, the glow was removed but the red was still in the texture for some reason.

I seem to be having a issue, I hope someone can help me with.

I have followed the instructions and the eyes on Shepard have changed. They look perfect during game play and while in the squad stats screen. But only during conversations do I get an odd effect where I seem to have both the normal iris, and TIM textures at the same time.

Anyone got any ideas as to how to correct that.

    Thanks in advance.

BEFORE you add any TIM eye texture lines, go to EYE_Iris_Colour_Vector and change the RGB values to 0,0,0 and save the file. This will turn the iris colour to black. Check in game just to make sure it's worked. Then add the TIM bits to the textures section. In the vectors section DO NOT change EYE_Iris_Colour_Vector to the EMIS_Color as mentioned, leave it as it is. Only problem with this method, however, is the colour will always be red and I've no idea why. Still looks good, though, especially if you're playing renegade. This will stop the original iris colour from showing in conversations if you're happy with red eyes.

Is there a way to color both the iris and the tech ring? I tried to add a new entry for Emis_Color instead of renaming EYE_Iris_Colour_Vector but I can't enter any values in the new entry, at least not with Gibbed's editor. Any idea on how to do it?

Great guide, by the way! Always wanted to see Shepard with those tech rings; he does have cybernetic implants all over his face, after all. :)

That can only be done in ME3, the gibbed's editor option are kinda limited for the ME2

Too bad, but thanks for the quick reply! At least it'll be possible in ME3.

Awesome little trick, I think I might have to start doing this in my playthroughs. It even works in ME3 too!

In ME3 I recomend, instead of changing EYE_Iris_Colour_Vector to Emis_Color; add Emis_Color as a new entry otherwise depending of the light, u may not see the effect properly and this way if u want the iris and the tech ring can have differents colors

According to Kanarus it will not work on a default Shepard, it requires a custom made face. So yeah if you want a Shepard with TIM eyes then yeah you will have to make a new character, and then edit the save game as mentioned on the description page. You do not have to delete your current character, just start a new game, and then if you want to play with your current Shepard then just change careers in the load menu.
