About this mod

Substitutes true RGB colors, proportional sizes and intensities for stars. Also enables multiple new types of stars, including brown dwarfs, neutron stars, pulsars, magnetars, protostars, and rogue planets.

Permissions and credits
This mod is the first part of an attempt to bring some scientific accuracy to Galactic Civilizations III. Not only does it provide a wealth of new star types (been there, done that), it provides scientifically accurate colors, sizes, and intensities, the latter two based on logarithmic transformations of real data. Included are giants larger than one hex in diameter, multiple stellar remnants, rogue planets, and a bunch of other goodies. The systems are pretty bad right now, largely due to problems in the game's map generation system. A future mod will address this. For now, the best way to use the new features is with custom maps.

WARNING: These stars are NOT pretty. Reality doesn't live up to fantasy. I have tried, where I had license, to make thing look cool, but the simple fact is, stars are too bright, and their colors are too washed-out to give you the lovely colors seen in the vanilla game. Oh well.

I cannot guarantee this mod will work with other mods. I should work with Gauntlet's race mod, and (for now) mods that affect planets. Any mod that modifies stars or star systems will likely conflict.
