xEdit team. Bethesda for adding all these extra vertices that must be needlessly drawn.
This mod reduces the density of insignificant objects to 0, effectively removing their existence safely from your game. You choose what to keep and what to get rid of.
Maybe you need that extra bit of performance to run "Sim Settlements", or maybe you think the pebbles and twigs are an eyesore. Whatever your reasoning, this mod will take care of it.
Special thanks to The White Collar Players, HTH Mods, Fonnie Dro, Tyrannicon, and SkyttsTV for featuring this mod in their videos:
Install: Click the download with NMM button and activate.
Uninstall: Deactivate in NMM.
Load Order: It shouldn't matter. If I had a gamma gun to my head I would say place it after mods that edit landscapes.
FAQs:
Q: What exactly did you remove? A: Procedural "grass" that isn't actually grass - These objects are spawned in varying densities in a radius around the player when you load an area. Things like small stones, rubble, concrete debris, the crap underwater, a couple twigs, the stuff you probably never noticed and can't interact with. *There are 4 different versions bundled in the installer. Choose which one suits your tastes.
Q: Why did you do this? A: Because your processing/rendering power is better used generating things you can actually see.
Q: How much performance do I gain? A: Depends on the scene, draw distance, hardware, etc. If your computer is less than 3 or 4 years old, there's a good chance you won't need this mod. If you have a decent rig but use massive mods like "Sim Settlements" that add their own clutter, this mod can help, especially once your settlements upgrade.
Q: Does this mess up the new "Weapon Debris" feature added for NVIDIA (PhysX/FleX) users in patch 1.3.x? A: Absolutely not. Your weapons will still generate real time debris that can be interacted with.
Q: Is this compatible with...? A: Probably. This mod doesn't actually delete anything so there's no chance of CTD.
