I highly recommend Laser Pistol Rifle Grip to go alongside this mod! It will make it so all AER-9 laser rifle-based weapons you find are held with both hands, indicative of their status as a heavier weapon.

When equipping the weapon I have issues with the way it sorta glitches some with equipping and then unequiping constantly before failing. I do not know what could be the cause.

Yes; the beefier sound is indicative of Pew-Pew's larger damage and recoil. I tested the gun previously with the standard sounds and lower recoil and it felt much worse to use.

you should put AEP-9 Prototype in a better place, i use the legendary explosive amno (on my sniper rifle), and i probably shot the weapon down in the water hench loose her, put her in a better place, in this way you dont risk to shot her in the water

Wait, I'm a dingdong and misread, ignore me. That mod uses the ammo per shot from your inventory, not from the weapon. You could kinda recreate the pew pew with that but, it wouldn't be the same.
pew pew use two ammo each shot (it must be recharged after each shot, this pistol il like a double barrel shotgun in fact i use pew pew as a silenced shotgun) and after 4 ammo are used one is recharged
Excellent mod! A few suggestions though: 1. It's a little confusing that this weapon is also called "Laser Pistol". Maybe it can be changed to something like "AEP Laser Pistol"? 2. I couldn't find Pew-Pew when I got to Scrap Palace, probably because of all the grenades I threw into the warehouse. Had to use console commands to find the gun and the badge. Maybe they can be moved to a container or something? 3. The badge doesn't seem to show up on my character. 4. When I tried to give Pew-Pew an overcharged capacitor at the workbench while having an unmodded AEP pistol in my workbench, it began glitching weirdly. The menu jumped to the unmodded laser pistol after I crafted the mod. The material was used up, but no mod was made. This was fixed after I reloaded a save and dropped the unmodded laser pistol.

The weapon is way too present and almost all safes have TWO laser pistols in it.
