Can we all remember if we have a crash log to put the crash log in spoiler tags so it makes it a lot easier to read and it doesn't clutter up the comment section.
you can do this by writing [ spoiler ] your crash log [ / spoiler ] it will make it a lot easier for everyone.
From what the community has gathered, this is caused by downgrading game versions. It is recommended to try Backported Archive2 Support System, however if that doesn't work than an alternative method of downgrading the game will have to be used.
Guy's I'm at my wits end with this, I've had the same crash for over a month after going so long without any crashes, I have posted this once before but I have tried fixing this for so long now and with so many different attempts that I'm hoping for a miracle here, I have cleaned plug ins with auto cleaner I have used wyrebash with plug in checker and I've deactivated half my mods and tried to trouble shoot but that created a whole host of different crashes. Even tried changing around my load order with some direction from helpful resources however I am honestly lost when it comes to what I'm doing with LO.
the CTD's I've been getting are random and yesterday I was able to play for 6 hours with 0 crashes and today it's every 5-20 mins a crash, I can be just roaming around or talking to someone, mid fight or resting on a bench and I can crash all the same.
I'm aware that I have a few of the older problematic mods (i.e. Awkcr) but I don't believe these are causing the crash issue I'm having, and disabling does not affect the crashes, closest hint I've gotten is it's related to a broken animation and in the last 2 months (since these crashes started) I haven't added any animation mods at all. and deactivating any mods with added animations have not stopped the crashes nor changed the type of crash.
thanks in advance for any help and sorry if I'm just being ridiculous about all this.
K this might be a stupid question but what is the file name of the crash log. Because I don't think I am seeing it. I know where it is supposed to be but not sure if I am even looking at the right file.
It's safe to enable this feature? ArchiveLimit = false
I already reached the file limit of the game with so many clothing and weapon mods, but I still want to install some mods that add new enemies and mechanics
Will this make the game to behave like it would normally do when not exuding the 256 limit?
I posted a crash log in the past and gave up at one point but now I'm getting this kind of one constantly after I stopped playing for a while. With the only thing I'm noticing is ""meshes\Interface/Objects/LoadScreen/LoadScreenTranslucent.nif"". Which has constantly been in every crash log ever since.
The crash happens before the main menu (like my previous comment) and I tried everything. - Removing Mods that affect the loading screen. With the exception being the mod that, through configuration, I made it so that the screens freeze in place instead of showing the 3D models later. It worked beforehand so I don't see it being the problem. - Verifying the game files. And downgrading back to the update I was on, which was the one right before the Next Gen Update. - Editing F4SE plugins. Like Buffout's config file. - Removing THIS mod's files but I just get the regular CTD without Buffout's fatal error message. - Reducing my BA2 file limit and extracting the more smaller ones manually. - Cleaning my dirty plugins with xEdit. - And where I am now. Where I restarted my PC, hoping it's a over time problem with my laptop.
When I look up LoadScreenTranslucent.nif, I get nothing but people's pastebin logs and a single reddit post that had a solution but didn't work for me. What the hell is this file and why am I thinking it's the cause of my crashes?
Actually it's the file "Fallout4 - Startup.ba2" Moving this file away, the logs no longer detect the "LoadScreenTranslucent.nif" file but it still crashes on startup. The auto scanner says it's a nvidia severity problem.
Well that answers everything but I'm curious about the Startup.ba2 file. Is it something they added in the NG update or was there to begin with?
This crash started appearing after the "next-gen" updates and it appears to be related to downgrading game versions. It is recommended to try Backported Archive2 Support System, however if that doesn't work than an alternative method of downgrading the game will have to be used.
I've realised it and made a manual downgrade instead of using the downgrader and I no longer get this crash. However, the game does still crash when going through cell loads. I feel like post next-gen is where I started having issues even if I downgrade.
Otherwise, open this portion of the Buffout 4 Dictionary ("NPC Pathing Crash (Static) | PathingCell | BSPathBuilder | PathManagerServer") and try the solutions listed.
Thank you for your replying So, is there a way to remove a posted crash log ?, just worry about cybersecurity, but later that i scanned computer and nothing virus or threats found and i never click any link in that website (่just read a log). Thank you for your support.

I installed only F4SE, Buffout and FallUI (+sort). Is this crash related to those?

Moving this file away, the logs no longer detect the "LoadScreenTranslucent.nif" file but it still crashes on startup.
The auto scanner says it's a nvidia severity problem.
Well that answers everything but I'm curious about the Startup.ba2 file. Is it something they added in the NG update or was there to begin with?
Otherwise, open this portion of the Buffout 4 Dictionary ("NPC Pathing Crash (Static) | PathingCell | BSPathBuilder | PathManagerServer") and try the solutions listed.
So, is there a way to remove a posted crash log ?, just worry about cybersecurity, but later that i scanned computer and nothing virus or threats found and i never click any link in that website (่just read a log).
Thank you for your support.
