  • Cell resets and You

    What is a cell (easy description)

    The gameworld is divided into small cells, which are loaded when the player is near. With the console you can go to those cells, for example:
    coc redrocketext will bring you to the Red Rocket near Sanctuary.


    What is a cell reset?

    A cell reset means, that every item and enemy that has a respawn flag, will respawn in the cell. The cell reset is different from Skyrim and only god knows how it does really work. Setting it to 1 hour and go to sleep will not always have the effect to reset the cells, but there is hope, if you read on.


    Force a cell reset

    Go to your Fallout 4 folder, where the exe is located and create two text files.

    Iron Fist 
    - damage has been reduced to 10%/20%/30%/40%/50% from 20%/40%/60%/80%/100%.


    Big leagues 
    - added one new rank. 
    - Damage has been lowered to 5/10/15/20/25/30 from 20/40/60/80/100.

    *Rank 6 You now do 30% more melee weapon damage and power attacks have a good chance of crippling a limb.
    (In a future version, this will include that you can slice your enemy into pieces, like you can do with ghouls now.)

  • How to create a Weapon-Patch

    Choose your weapon mod of choice.

    Open it with FO4Edit



    Weapon

    Speed - Value:  "1 is fine, otherwise balance it around the real firerate of the weapon/count ingame bullets per second shot and tweak multiplier as needed."

    Reloadspeed - Value: 0.7 - 0.85

    Out of Hit Rangemult - Value: 0.75

    On hit - Value: "Depends on the weapon, normally No Dismember/Explode"

    Weapon Damage - Values (Feel free to choose between these ranges depending on th caliber)

  • BLD-Patcher #How to

    This article features two parts. How to use the patcher and how to remove the optional damage increase, which nowadays a lot of mod features. Those optional damage increases are not recommended, as they will harm your gameplay. If you prefer overpowered weapons, you are free to use it.

    As pictures say more than words, here is an example of the Mosin and how to apply the patcher:

    1. Select all receivers (You can also select everything, that doesnt matter.)
    2. Right click and press Apply Script
    3. Search for the BLD-Patcher script and press ok




    4. As you see, this mod sticks to the vanilla naming and is perfect to be patched.
