@Skwierawski Yet the label says whiskey? At the site <https://www.jackdaniels.com/en-us/process> they even say "Our whiskey..."
@ProfessorHotbuns Are you taking any requests for different alcohol manufacturer/distiller labels? Can their also be more than one label of let's say wine in-game?
Most of the bourbon makers prefer to call their product "Tennessee whiskey", but according to the definition Jack Daniel's is definitely a bourbon. If there's a distinction between bourbon and whiskey in the game, Daniel's should be a bourbon.
To be called a Bourbon, the whiskey must come from certain North Eastern counties of Kentucky where the water from limestone aquifers is used. Jack Daniels is a sour mash whiskey, not a Bourbon. Jim Beam is a Bourbon. https://alcohol.stackexchange.com/questions/5015/difference-between-whiskey-and-bourbon You may also run into copyright infringements for using the true labels. In movies and TV, the companies pay for placement of their products in them. Wiki calling it a Bourbon is wrong, the references they give do not specify it as such. The Tennessee bill doesn't making note of certain name categories for Tennessee whiskeys without mention of Bourbon at all and the NAFTA section is general about "Bourbon and Tennessee Whiskey".
Actually, Bourbon is a class of whiskey, an appellation. This is like a Napa Valley Wine versus a Simi Valley wine. Geographic districts. So your statement that bourbon is not whiskey is false as it is a subset of whiskey which will also include Scotch (another appellation) for a type of whiskey.
"Jack Daniels is a Tennessee whiskey, which is straight whiskey produced in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Although it has been legally defined as a bourbon whiskey in some international trade agreements, most current producers of Tennessee whiskey disclaim references to their products as "bourbon" and do not label them as such on any of their bottles or advertising materials." -Wikipedia
It's all mute anyway since bourbon is a subset of Whiskey. So Jack Daniels IS a whiskey. It just so happens to also be a bourbon lol
Oh and fun fact: Frank Sinatra was a fan of Jack Daniels, called it "the nectar of the gods", and had a bottle buried with him when he died :D
Hey loving the work, I was wondering if it would possible to have permission to port these wonderful textures to Xbox, I already have someone who can do it for me and of course full credits will given of course. Thanks
