I have a save with a male character that is lvl 27 so there is a good chance i will do a male version of this suit (the chick in these pics is only lvl 6 i am making a new base female head texture (used in these shots) so needed a new female character to test it on, then i got carried away and did her suit too
are you sure you are wearing the correct vault suit?
sounds to me like you have the default dirty suit on and not a nice new pristine Vault 111 suit-new (the 111 number texture is used on both versions so that's why your numbers are showing red)
thank you yep noticed that ... trying to find the texture that corresponds to 1st person view (its a weird one because i would have thought it just used the same texture as 3rd person view)
ok it turns out that bethesda are using 2x4k textures for the same clothing model ...... 1 for 1st and one for 3rd person (no wonder this game lags for some people
as a quick fix you can copy the texture VaultSuitF_d.DDS and rename the copy to VaultSuitFdirty.DDS
(seems strange to use a whole other 4k texture just to show the forearm of it in 1st person when you look at yer pipboy)

I'll put up a revised zip tonight when i get home from work)
or maybe I'll change the description to include this step (as the zip is gonna be bigger and it only takes seconds)
EDIT: revised version uploaded... (I made the 2nd texture 512x512 with a bit more compression to save a bit of vram, looks good enough for continuity
They probably outsourced some of the graphics work. I'm sure it happens more than we know. It's probably a good idea to offer the full resolution revised version as optional though, as for some people having crisp high rest arms and hands to look at in 1st person matter a lot (since you see them so much you tend to notice more you know?).
Good work figuring it all out though, hope you're going to be adding more to the nexus!
