Any way to make the rad barrels littered around the commonwealth explodable and then become non radiated? They are very lore unfriendly and annoying! "What, nuclear bombs were filled with rad barrels...like a shotgun shell or claymore filled with BBs?" Maybe when I go around town today, I can find rad barrels neatly stacked with no rad leakage and new paint jobs so kids can stand on and families take pictures with!
Hi there! Is this mod compatible with Grenade Expansion Pack (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16404/?) Not talking about the new stuff it adds, but will these two conflict with each other? Thanks in advance!
Giving a brief look at the description, probably. But don't expect that to last for long. This mod looks like something I want in my load order, so a patch won't be far off
I'm hoping the next update will be a bit more substantial. I'm learning the Creation Kit & papyrus as I go with this mod, and scripting is turning out to be harder than I expected. I'm hoping that I can come up with a more elegant solution to converting ammo to throwables; I have an idea of how I want it to work, but I need to learn more about scripting before I can release anything.
In more positive news, DLC content is on its way! Nuka World ammo and grenades are in the testing stage (yay exploding bottles! ), and I'm mostly sure Automaton doesn't have any relevant items, leaving Far Harbor.
On DLC: I know a lot of you don't have/like the workshop DLCs. Would any of you prefer I ignore the fireworks, or are you okay with me adding Contraptions as a requirement for the DLC patch (I only plan on making one).
As always: tips and criticism are encouraged, but I hope you're enjoying the mod
It's promising, but my only boggle is only a few months ago someone posted another mod IDENTICAL, but it has 7 fold selections on what you can shoot. You may wish to consider doing the research before committing to the work. Something to think about. - - - ----http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23196/?------- " Don't Shoot the Nuke ". :~/
That mod references another mod similar to it so should that mod have not been made? The point is multiple mods that provide similar functions (even exact functions/items) means more choices for mod users. Comments like yours Etherdose74 bring mod makers down and make them reluctant to put stuff out there because they get unnecessary criticism. If you like the other mod better, use it and move on. By your statement, one could surmise you think only one player home mod or only one weapon ever should have been made. That boggles my mind.
That wasn't my point. The observation is yours. I wasn't saying that.I re-read it and no where is there any negative connotations. Positive criticism is pointing out facts and finding ways to improve something.I understand this as well. The author before who copied his mod from someone who copied this other guy's mod, etc.???Surely.People may be reluctant if they are not experience. Fine. Seems like you got a bit hypersensitive there chummers.;~) (And so you don't assume again. my temperament this time as well is passive.) --------So, are you planning to add more to the explodable item list or will it remain three?
----A fooey. I didn't re-read the newer front. Cool cool. So, yeah... anyone can release a mod. On the OTHER SIDE.....how do I know if this is junk? Mess up my game? Buggy? So, I am conservative and when I ask questions they are black and white. There wasn't much call for emotion that I saw.Maybe it was the caps? Do keep in mind that a stress word is also written in caps. So, this code has been worked don the line you say about 2 years or so?? Wow.I wanted to use yours and I was looking to find something better as I WAS using the old mod. My boggle which was misread and then attacked was basically "What are your plans".--re-read what I said. There is no names or insults, so it's too bad you interpreted that way.
Etherdose74, I apologize if I misunderstood your intent (which can happen in writing as a lot of human conversational meaning is conveyed via body language, facial expressions, and vocal tone) and it is possible that English isn't your first language so you may not be aware but your statements, "You may wish to consider doing the research before committing to the work." and "Something to think about." are actually very negative. You wrote that your point was to ask questions about the state and future of the mod but there isn't a single question mark in your first post, simply a statement pointing out that a similar mod already exists. So I hope you can understand how easy it was to misunderstand the direction of your original post.
Ha ha....understood. I have ptsd so sometimes my approach leaves much to be desired. ;~)Going to use mod as it is good work either way. As my intention I am glad to see you wish to run with this and not just be a "hey look I made a mod" attention seeker, you dig?
Looking at their mod page, it looks like they have more things covered so far. They also covers some things that I probably won't. So if you're already using that, idt you'll get much from switching to mine just yet
