About this mod

Tired of half-drained fusion cores cluttering your inventory?

Permissions and credits
I, like many people who use the Gatling Laser, was tired of half-drained cores cluttering up my inventory.  There's been a bunch of people who've tried different fixes for this, but none of them really worked for me.  As a result, I took matters into my own hands and made this mod.

Instead of trying to change the way fusion cores worked with the Repair Bobblehead and Nuclear Physicist perk both active, I changed how the Gatling Laser receivers handle ammunition count.

I assume that many people who get the Gatling Laser upgrade it to maximum level right away (or if they don't they acquire it then hold off for a few levels) and I took that into account.  I also made it more rewarding to change out the receivers on it so there's some build-up.  Unfortunately, that means the "partially-depleted fusion core" bug still exists at lower upgrade tiers but it's gone at the maximum upgrade tier, which is where most people tend to use this weapon.

Receiver changes:
Gatling Laser Receiver:  500 (can run the same core through your Gatling Laser three times)
Photon Exciter, Beta Wave Tuner, and Boosted Capacitor:  575 (can run the same core through your Gatling Laser twice)
Photon Agitator, Gamma Wave Tuner, and Maximized Capacitor: 865 (can run the same core through your Gatling Laser twice)
Boosted Photon Agitator, Boosted Gamma Wave Tuner, and Overcharged Capacitor: 1150 (shows as 999, completely depletes fusion cores)

Please note: if you swap weapons/reload frequently, you WILL generate partially-depleted cores and there's no way, to my knowledge, of forcing the ammunition system to load partial cores in favor of full ones.

UPDATE (6-21-17): After extensive testing, this mod IS compatible with IDontEvenKnow's Gatling Laser and Fusion Core Fix However, if you wish to use my capacity settings with his mod, you MUST NOT engage the "capacity fix" feature!  Combining the two mods DOES NOT cause it to generate a pile-up of half-spent cores in your inventory.  Instead it'll run the same core through until it's depleted.

Additional note:  Sorry console users, but I don't have either console version so I won't be sharing it.
