About this mod
..WIP..
A heavily modded transfer settlements blueprint for Vault 88. It was built to be attractive, reasonably realistic, and simple to to navigate.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
The 2.7 update includes -
- Pre-wired power working with the latest version of transfer settlements 1.43
- Removal of all Snap and Build objects. No more mods needed that can't be downloaded.
- Slight alteration of the layout of floors 4 and 5. The executive boardroom on floor 5 no longer has horrible clipping issues.
- Research department on floor 4 is finished. Layout has been tweaked, changing rooms added, and everything furnished and fully decorated.
- Cinema has been added to floor 4. Furnishings only, no decoration. May be altered in the future if I can get some tiered seating to work.
- The luxury residences on floor 1 are finished and decorated. I've set them up with Danse, Shaun and Cait in mind.
- Overseer's bedroom and bathroom furnished and decorated.
- Pixel art rainbow in the nightclub is wired up and working. No more wireless lightboxes needed.
- Large water plant now wired up and working.
- Various small tweaks to the decoration throughout the vault.
A WIP build of my modded Vault 88. The structure is 95% done. Most rooms have the basic furniture laid out. Some have simple decoration and some are fully decorated. I'm uploading it before it's completed because it's getting big. So big that it takes 45 mins for me to export it to a blueprint, and it crashed my game 3 times in a row when I tried. I might not be able to export anything bigger without my computer bursting into flames. So yeah, it might get updated as I decorate it more, it might not. Either way, the update attempts won't be frequent. So take it as you find it, and do with it as you will.
It's built to be easy to navigate, with the vast majority of the rooms being built around a central atrium. Only a small amount of the separate sectors and connecting caves have been used. So there's plenty of room to expand out if you wanted to.
Because it's a big, detailed, build you'll probably notice some screen tearing in parts of the vault. I don't know how, or even if it can be fixed. Expect frame rate drops, especially on older machines like mine. I'm running a single GTX 970, high and ultra settings. I get 25-35 fps in the main part of the vault, increasing to 60 in the caves.
Version 2.7 was exported with transfer settlemets 1.43, so the power comes hooked up. However, version 1.0 will need rewiring and a little work to get it looking like it does in the pictures and video. This is a transfer settlements issue and there's nothing I can do about it. I've tried to make the rewiring process as simple as possible, but it will involve console commands, no clipping and a little cheaty witchcraft. I recommend you use place everywhere to make it as painfree as possible. In fact, I recommend that mod anyway. It's a settlement build essential as far as I'm concerned.
Here's a video walkthrough of how to rewire the place in v1.0
