If I remember correctly it was pretty simple, just get the esp/esm masters (or create fake ones by renaming existing files), then load it in xedit and remove everything that is from one of those masters (mostly keywords and some list changes if I remember) then right click and press clean masters (remove unused masters) or something like that, repeat that until all the masters are gone in the fileheader section of this esp
Kinda. You will not see the paints in the masks added by the mod, but it won't clash.
To see them, you would need a patch. Luckily for you, I've just uploaded a replacer file in the optionals section. This is for the base mod, don't know if it'll work with additional patches of that mod.
