Great mod. Blends very nicely with another mod Sandbag Fortifications.
There is no mod problem but please bring the cost down of the fence from 22 to, say, 6, which is similar to the chain link average cost.
I surrounded Tenpines with barbwires and I run out of resources by the time I started building the house. I don't want to keep increasing the limits as it affects the game's overall frame rates.
By "cost" to you mean the settlement budget cost? If so that I think is determined by the number of polygons in the object, so unless he made them look worse the budget cost isn't going to go down.
Now if your talking about resource cost like wood / steel I don't see how they effect your FPS at all.
I'm as confused as Dubbyk as to what you're talking about. The author says he improved the meshes for better performance, so the local FPS drops some people reported should be reduced or gone now. As for settlement budget, the impact from the original versions was already minimal, compared to things like windmills, for example. More efficiently designed meshes will reduce that impact. If you're talking about material costs those can be edited easily with FO4Edit.
Is it just me or do these cause a slight fps drop. When I have used some of these in my settlement, I notice a drop from 60 to 45/50 every few seconds. When I remove the barb wire stuff, it returns back to fixed 60 fps.
in some places it can happen specially if you using scrap mods
most of problem come from how this mod mesh created (thats my first mod and mesh edits at the time) and for now i dont have time to rework on them dont give any promise but when i have enough time try to make them better and less fps hungry
the best option for now is breaking the line of sight
My buddy is using this mod in his settlements and I got super jealous! I could do so much with the Castle and Outpost Zimonja without those crappy vanilla junk walls! Is there a way this will be ported for us console peons?
Not sure how or why, but I can not get this mod to work in it's entirety. I am only installing directly into the Data folder because i have had terrible experience with mod loaders being completely unreliable. The mod does appear in the load order within the main menu's mod section but while in-game, I activate the settlement workshop mode and select junk fences, all the mod fences are listed but unusable, I can see their cost but their actor's do not appear. I was really liking this mod the first time I used it because it meant I could keep the unwanted out of my base but still get to look at the decrepit landscape around it as opposed to the really terrible junk fences or concrete bunker walls.
That's very odd. I've been using this mod since it was first released with no problems whatsoever. The only time I can't place a fence is if I attempt to place it outside the settlement boundaries. Which is as it should be.
When you say "their actor's do not appear" do you mean you can't see them in the menu or, when you select them, they do not appear in game?
This is priceless! Such easy and inexpensive protection for my settlements. I'd recommend to anyone wanting an economical and painless way to protect their settlements. Don't know how I did without it! Thanks for sharing it :o)

If anyone is interested - I've made a Settlement Menu Manager patch for this mod so that it has its own menu in the workshop.
