14-10-2020: New main file flagged as .esl. Won't add to your load limit.
11-01-2021: Vanila power option added. Won't affect vanila weapons anymore. Works alongside. You may encounter both - or all 3 if you install both files.

Excellent mod! One minor point though.  For it to work right, it needs to be the strongest weapon in the NPC's inventory. The NPC will always pick it over another weapon.  It's a game mechanics thing. A part of that requires that you remove the knuckles from their inventory when you are done using a pose gun. When you go back into combat, it's likely that the NPC will equip it again.

Good point. I knew it - hence why I made it overpowered. But I forgot to mention it in the description. Thank you for pointing it out. Made your post a sticky

Thanks for this, Steffen! I was pointed in this direction by Kicks and Punches as a way of keeping those animations player-only. Works great! Will likely use these for posing if I get back into taking screenshots. Thanks again!

Thank you for your kind words Oscar. Much appreciated I was not aware that there was a mod author pointing people this way. That's a nice pat on the back.

Is there a way to make NPCs that you brawl with (Like Gouger and Bull in the quest Confidence Man) not recognize the invisible knuckles as a weapon, and treat it as just your fists? Since it's technically a weapon, and not bare fists, the NPCs will think that you're trying to kill them, when in actuality you're just a better fighter than them lol!

How do you get it to be invisible? I downloaded the vanilla version but I still have the knuckles visible.

Sorry for a late answer. But..... I'm not sure why it is so. I can see in the description that I made it so it will show up together with - visble- vanila knuckles. It was not meant as replacer. I don't know if that might be the case - that you have acquired a vanila set. You can try following the guide in the description on how to console yourself a set. Maybe that will do the trick. I do not have FO4 installed so I cannot test to see if I can recreate the error.

What do you mean "Vanila"? There are no requirements apart from FO4.esm.

Very cool idea, this always annoyed me.

For what it's worth, if you draw the gun from Dave's Poses, then talk to your companion and unequip their weapon, they'll put it away and yours will still be out.

There is an alternate way of doing something similar. Using FO4 Hotkeys or just straight console commands. You can bind a button to run the command "player.cf equipitem c2c27 0 1". Which will make it "equip" your characters fists.

Still. Useful mod for console players, as they can't pop up console commands to perform this.

EDIT: lol altough.. I just realized console plebs wouldn't have much use for this anyways.. as they cant pop up console to change animations..

Well - the purpose of this was to give to those who do not know - or care- about console commands an easy way to make their companions show bare hands.

That's good for the player but what is the console command for NPCs?

@ awarhero: You do NOT need any console commands using this. You "shoot" the NPC with the pose-gun (That comes with some pose mods) and a menu comes up allowing you to pose your NPC without using console. By having your NPC equip this you don't get any awakward clipping from whatever weapon they brandish. Davethedrunk adds a ring for the player that does the same when equipped.
Edit: Ehrm - was this a question to ParasiteX?

When running a console command on a npc. Simply click on them while in console mode. Then you can run the command without the "player.". Like equipitem c2c27 in this case.
