    Please note

You can use the armor and jetpack separately if you like. The .esp's are completely independent of each other. Simply disable the one you do not want.

JFAO and SF Placed Legendaries - This adds two unique/legendary jetpacks from Jetpacks FAO and one unique/legendary (stealth) bodysuit from SF Combat Armor to the game. I made this for myself to play on survival mode to give myself a challenge but it's also great for people who might not want to spend their perks on crafting skills right away. The items have some unique bonuses other than the mod upgrades so even people with the proper crafting perks may want to obtain them eventually. Of course, to offset not requiring crafting perks I placed them in out of the way and hard to reach locations. See the included readme for spoilers.

Low FPS at Armor Bench - As of update 1.2 archived (.ba2) versions of each main have been added which (as far as I have seen) eliminate the low FPS at the armor bench and greatly reduce the impact the full 4K version of the mod has in game. I highly doubt the performance version is even necessary anymore but I'll leave it up for now.

CBBE - Since this mod uses the base game meshes it will automatically utilize other armor replacer meshes, such as the ones included in the CBBE body replacer. If you have CBBE installed you may notice that the decals and camo textures for SF Combat Armor have minor imperfections. This is not due to my mod but rather to the mesh changes in bodyslide for the CBBE armor replacer. If you do not like these minor flaws you can go into your Data/Meshes/Armor/CombatArmor folder and remove all the meshes you find there (except for the m_helmet and f_helmet which Combat Armor Illumination uses). Also remove the meshes in the Data/Meshes/Armor/KnightUnderArmor folder if you use the SFCA bodysuit.

CROSS Jetpack - Be aware that this mod uses the CROSS Jetpack animation changes and scripts so it will break the flames on other non-animated jetpacks (including power armor) unless they are patched. See my other mod page for patches to popular jetpack mods, Jetpacks FAO.

C.H.I. 2020 - RECOMMENDED: Combat Helmet Illumination 2020 I am told the patch for C.H.I 2018 works fine with the updated C.H.I. 2020.

C.H.I. 2018 - Outdated: Combat Helmet Illumination 2018 A new patch has been uploaded for C.H.I 2018 and I highly recommend using this version since it works with the Creation Club armor paint jobs and the updated patch corrects several minor issues with the placement of the headlamp mesh.

C.H.I. - If you use Combat Helmet Illumination and the light effect activates but the light itself doesn't appear on the helmet make sure you go to the armor bench and actually add the mod to your helmet. It should work fine after that.

    UPDATE Version 1.2.3

Rebuilt the patch from the ground up in FO4Edit because of issues with me being a dumbass. Now the AE version should use the CORRECT Combat Helmet Illumination master. I apologize to the people who downloaded version 1.2.2. This should be the final patch. Combat Helmet Illumination is NO LONGER recommended however, there is an updated 2018 version that can be found here and I have uploaded a patch for that version.

NOTE: When only C.H.I and SF Combat Armor are installed the headlamp displays properly but somewhere along the way during my modding of Fallout 4 I noticed the light being slightly inset into the Combat Helmet mesh. This has nothing to do with SF Combat Armor and perhaps nothing to do with C.H.I either. Honestly, I haven't had the time to troubleshoot this issue but its not game breaking. I assume it's due to mod conflict.

NAVI - Brand New Power Armor - The pilot suit from NAVI is not fully compatible with the SF Jetpack because (in short) both mods use a similar keyword to summon different PA frames. My first patch which is included in the installer changes the jetpack to summon the NAVI frame but I updated the patch to add a second "NAVI" version of the jetpack that can be found at the chemistry workbench under ARMOR. This way the player can alternate between the normal and NAVI versions of the SF Jetpack without having to disable the patch.

Please re-download all of your patches and pipboy replacer so that you have all of the updated versions (v1.4). And just to be safe un-equip all SF Combat Armor and Jetpack items before updating to the new versions. Also note that the prefixes and suffixes will persist until you change a mod on the piece of armor or jetpack at the armor bench.

Please post any issues or bugs you may find immediately so I can correct them.

    Jetpacks FAO Alternate Mount Option:

Now included in Jetpacks FAO is an alternate mount option for the "light" jetpack. It changes the mount location to one similar to the jetpacks from Armorsmith Extended. Recommended for female players who prefer tight fitting armor such as the Courser X-92 Power Suit, Kerrigan Bodysuit, Precursor Suit, NanoSuit 6.2, etc. It also looks great with the SF Combat Armor flight suit in case you prefer concealing your armor and would like a tighter fit for your jetpack.

Would it be possible to have a simple texture replacer for the combat armor? Have been personally trying to find a completely clean black combat armor that removes all residue on the armor, seems it is a rather niche market. These look great!

I don't have fallout 4 installed atm so i can't do much but... it's pretty easy to rename the textures and make your patch. You can open up the CK or TESEdit and search for the combat armor you like to get the texture names, then just pull the textures you want from my mod and rename them and place them in their proper folders for a patch.

Oh okay, thank you for the information, rarely do I ever make my own... well anything lol. Going to make an attempt with your armors, I am going for the "Stealth" black paint.

You will need this for the BA2 files: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/78

No need to repack your mod, just leave the files loose in their folders. Just make sure to get the names and folder structure right.

Cheers man, going to look into it! Thank you for the information! Personally, I have been attempting to max out performance along with using ENBs and texture overhauls, maximizing things where I can to the extreme just about lol. I shall copy down your information and make use of it!

EDIT: Wow, that tool is super handy. I scoffed when I saw all the texture files, it looks rather intimidating to deal with, but I get the gist of how I would go about doing the renaming process. Again, much obliged!

Sorry I don't have fallout 4 set up atm or I would do it for you. Alternatively you can always join a fallout 4 modding discord and ask to have what you want done commisioned... which is really super easy and shouldn't cost you more than like $10-15 (in my opinion).

Sharing something I've discovered. I'm using the jetpack armor enhancement from Crafting Framework on any armor together with this SF Combat Armor and Jetpack 2019 mod to have no T-posing when flying in third person without PA, both mods work together, without actually using the SF Jetpack from this mod. Of course in this way there is no awesome jet flames coming out from my Modular Military Backpack (which I used the AE: Armor Enhancement on) and no cool sprinting effect from the SF Jetpack, just something to consider in your game play.

Since CHI 2018 is no longer available and has been replaced with CHI 2020, is a new CHI patch needed to go with it?

That is a good question and I don't honestly know. I don't have FO4 installed atm so I can't check it. Most likely no but if the .esp is named the same you could try it and see. Not sure when I will be able to make a patch for CHI 2020.

Actually, the patch for CHI 2018 seems to work just fine with the CHI 2020, so it looks like it's a non-issue. Thank you for the reply though!

I don't suppose that someone who knows what they're doing (unlike me, I tried, I failed) with material swaps would be interested in doing a Minuteman Blue color for the armor, would they?

Just found this and love the look of it, but when I activate my light-blue-flames jetpack the flames are completely disconnected from the jetpack - it looks like my butt cheeks are on fire rather than the jetpack.

Any ideas what I need to fix?

P.S Edit: well, not sure how it happened but removing and reinstalling Jetpacks FAO then SF Jetpacks fixed the flames issue.

P.P.S. Edit - for some reason I can now craft the SF armor and jetpacks, flames in the right place, but every time I quit the game and restart the armor texture goes back to a lame rusty appearance. :(

Not sure, there are so many possibilities for mod conflicts or load order errors. Start with a fresh install of Skyrim SE and begin modding by installing just SF Combat Armor, start a new game and see if the problem happens. Then just add a few mods at a time until you find out what is going wrong.

Skyrim SE for Fallout 4 a armor pack?

I've discovered unequipping and re-equipping the armor pieces resets the texture to the desired appearance, which makes it a mildly irksome annoyance but still usable.

I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling and found your mod at the end of several hours setting up a new game already so with only having to un/re-equip when first loading up the game I can live with it.

Definitely staying in my must-have list though so if/when I ever to another complete reinstall I'll see what happens.

      Thanks for the awesome looks!

    Hi MurielKai!

I Love the mod! It works like a charm!
Currently using the "Performance" version with CHI patch.

I do have a question, when I use the Jetpack in first-person my character seems to keep on "walking" and sometimes also makes a walking sound!
Is there anyway I could fix this? It's no bug only a little bit immersion breaking. (Hearing myself walk on wood in mid-air :P )

Thanks so much for all your hard work modding this!

Firstly, redownload the CHI patch since I rebuilt it in FO4Edit.

As far as hearing walking sounds in first person... that is a first for me. I just checked in my game and it doesn't seem like there is any walking sounds. Since you are seeing yourself walking during flight you are probably using a mod that shows the body in first person. It's most likely that same mod that is causing the walking sounds. So its just a mod conflict I would think and there isn't anything in particular I can do.

It's odd though because you are technically "falling" while using the jetpack. Have you noticed walking sounds while falling from high places without using the jetpack?

      Hi Murielkai!

      Thanks for the quick response!

I will redownload the CHI patch and see if it still occurs!
But I'm not using any first-person modifications, here is my load-order:

      Spoiler:
      Show
      My load order:
      *Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch.esp
*Companion Infinite Ammo and Unbreakable Power Armour.esp

      *FHLeveledListIntegration.esp
      *Tactical Flashlights.esp
      *Tactical Flashlights - Settings.esp
      *Lower Damage Requirement For XP.esp
      *Combat_Helmet_Illumination 1.2.esp

      *MarchingBag.esp
      *LoweredJetpakAPDrain.esp

You don't have a very large load order so it shouldn't be mod conflict. It's most likely just the sound effects for the jetpack, which I didn't make myself. I wish I could hear what you are talking about or see a video but I wouldn't worry about it too much unless its really annoying. I'm not sure what to say. o.O

In first person view I keep seeing the "walk" and "run" animations (bobbing of my weapon) instead of the falling animation
Also sometimes I hear my feet touching the ground (while in the air).

I tried disabling my other mods, but this didn't fix the problem.
And I don't hear walking sounds when falling normally.

currently I'm using the performance version, with no AE and the "standard" jetpack (with red flames).
I'll try the "Sprinter" and "Advanced" Jetpacks and see if it fixes my problem.

Thanks again for the quick replies! If I find a fix I'll post it!

Try using lowered weapon animations for your weapon position.

I'll try the lowered weapons mod!
And do you think it will help if I also install your Jetpacks FAO mod?
Btw changing the Jetpack type did not help.

Thanks for all the help! If nothing works it wouldn't be a deal-breaker!
Love your mod! Endorsed & Voted for Mod of the Month!

Installing JFAO wouldn't change the sound you are experiencing but that mod page does offer animated jetpack patches for other popular jetpack mods including power armor. The CROSS jetpack script that I use for the personal jetpacks breaks the flame on other jetpacks and power armor jetpacks unless they are patched so I have tried to offer patches for popular mods there.

Well I can't get the walking sounds to stop and have given up trying.
I still love the mod! Its only a minor thing and the advantages it give outweigh this minor "glitch".

Thanks again for the quick replies and the help!

Jetpack is not working. Tried holding spacebar, multiple tapping(like in power armor). Tried reinstalling mod - no joy. Took off jetpack and put back on - no joy :( Any ideas? I realize this forum is old...

Did you take your Jetpack to an Armour Workshop? Because when you first craft the Jetpack its only the frame, you have to craft the functioning Jetpack (and choose which style of backpack you want)

This mod looks amazing in game, i was wondering if anyone knows how i could mount the jetpack lower though. i want to have it at back of the hips, similar to the titan-fall jump jets.

I researched that a while back and it would require someone who is very good with NifScope to change what bone the Jetpack mounts to. Sadly I don't know anyone like that.
