Hey y'all, I'm just now returning to FO4 after a while not playing it. I'm planning on making some changes to this mod, adding a few new versions (one that makes all dogs essential, one that increases dogs' HP, and one that affects mutant hounds) and fixing the issue with the dogs still showing up in Nuka-World. I might also steal an idea from Immortal Cats and turn mongrel dog meat into dog food. For right now, though, I'm putting out a patch for NMDD and Armor Keywords so that workshop and Minutemen dogs can stay protected while also using Armor Keywords' outfit tagging system.

you my friend are a hero, i never minded in 3 and NV bc the dogs didn't look like actual dogs and the animal friend perk was actually useful, but sadly it isn't good at all in 4 and the dogs are actual cute dogs just being good boys or girls protecting there owners.

I wouldn't want to play without this mod. One request, if you're still modding at all (I really hope so...): may Mutant Hounds be added to this? I realise it makes sections of the game easier but having to kill them really makes me sad. If you watch them through your scope they pant with their tongues out and wag their tails and play with teddies and everything...
as a giant softie irl who dislikes killing dogs, even heavily mutated ones (yknow cuz they're still dogs deep down) i'm glad this exists. even if it's not "realistic" this is a game first for me.
