tHE DESCRIPTION OF THE MOD ISNT CLEAR, oops caps sry, if in fact this mod also gives the player a sound effect of pain like the linked mod does. I'd like to try your mod, but does it have the sound effect as the mod that inspired this mod does and if not can both mods be used together and which one needs to be loaded first?

And 2nd Q., does this mod work with this one: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17100/?
and if so which one needs be loaded first?

    Thank you!

Whenever I'm playing Fallout 4 and my health is low I, obviously, use a stimpak, but sometimes after that I think "Hold on, my character seriously just stabbed himself with an rusty 200 year old syringe in the chest and didn't even let out an 'ough!'? How is that even possible?" now I found the solution to that issue, but I'm still looking for a mod wich will make taking stimpaks have a chance of causing an infection on you on Survival mode, I mean, 200 year old rusty needles that have passed trough an nuclear holocaust and who knows how much dirty raider hands would certainly be carrying tetanus at minimun, and who knows what other kinds of blood-transmitted terrible illness have mutated during 200 years of radiation? , if anyone knows of a mod that adds that feature let me know (Or if it is already in the game and I didn't even noticed it, if that is the case I'm one lucky son of a b&@*$).

Does this mod take into account the increased healing provided by the Medic perk or is the healing dictated by this mod a static number?

Stimpak healing is non-static, and as this mod just alters the "magnitude" of the healing, it should increase with the Medic perk as normal.

I'm trying to download the 1.1 version and I keep getting: "Error registering this mod: No pain No Gain - The Stimpak Mod - NoPainNoGain
Error: Version number '1.1' is invalid. Line 1, position 16."

    Any idea what that's about?

I'm having trouble replicating this issue: Is it the downloading or the installing that's throwing up the error?

It sounds like an issue with the info.xml.. I'll make a couple of changes. Give it another go now!

Have you tested this on survival mode? Damage scales to difficulty, and in my mod 0.01 damage scaled to 30 damage. Your mod may deal a LOT of damage in survival mode.

Also, I could link your mod in the description of mine if that's okay with you, though I'd appreciate it if you did the same in return. Thanks!

great question, was curious myself, a level 4 character would murder themselves on non-survival and a 20'ish on survival!

Just think of it as part of the immersion. Low level characters aren't experienced enough with the world, and accidentally stabbed themselves straight into the left ventricle of their heart and die

Good question, and no I haven't.

The damage done **SHOULD** be fixed at 20 across all difficulties, however I'll have a go and get back to you.

Your mod is already linked in the description, and as stated, was inspired by your "Needles Hurt" mod. I'm happy to change the link if you don't like the way it's done.

No, it's fine. The link is fine as-is. The only problem I have with the mod other than the potential damage scaling problem is that it's kind of ridiculous to have stims do as much damage as an assault rifle bullet. It's a needle, not a bullet. That's really just my opinion, though, and I'm really proud to have inspired a mod like this. I hope it works like it's supposed to, Adzscott.

EDIT: Nice job with all those options by the way. I'll endorse your mod.

    UPDATE: 31/05/2016

    Now NMM/MO installer compatible.

There are now three options to choose from: Check out the description page for more info!

Any feedback or suggestions for further improvements would be more than welcome

wait if we're supposed to be masochists... how is this supposed to discourage us?

Haha, good point! The initial idea was to discourage players from carrying around dozens of stimpaks and simply tanking difficult encounters, and thereby encourage tactical and realistic combat.

I'm still getting to grips with editing and creating effects, but if there's demand for it.. maybe a FOmod installer can be created where you can choose how much damage the stimpak heals and initially inflicts?

Thanks all for downloading and a huge thanks for your feedback!

Your search page description is different than your description on the page: 'Changes Stimpak healing mechanics. Stimpaks now initially heal 20 points of damage, but otherwise heal as normal.'

    "initially HEAL" instead of deal

I thought you might not have noticed since there isn't a spelling error.

I also thought what I saw would help on survival cause of the ultra slow healing. You know +20 instantly then the slow heal.
I do agree that a big a#$ needle should hurt.
