Features: -Fixed a bug with trying to collect an item from your second creature companion. -Version 1.4 of the Exotic Creatures patch now allows you to tame Nuka World creatures. Naturally, you need the Nuka World DLC.
The incorporation of Nuka World creatures is untested, but it should work without issue, since the changes needed were so simple. But if you find a problem where a particular Nuka World creature gives you trouble when trying to tame it, let me know.
PSA: If your glowing creatures are being attacked by your settlers, run the Debug option in the Beast Master holotape. That will switch out their harmful radiation cloak for one that won't hurt your allies.
1) GO READ THE DESCRIPTION. ALL OF IT. If you've already read it, go read it again. Things may have been updated.
2) If your creature was caught prior to version 1.1, YOU WILL NEED TO CATCH A NEW CREATURE. No, I can't make it so that the old creatures are still compatible. I want to, believe me. But it's not possible. Bad planning on my part when I first made this mod, perhaps, but it is what it is.
3) If you are using Unlimited Companion Framework (UCF), disable "Quick Recruit". It completely borks Beast Master.
4) Put Beast Master LAST in your load order. If you have 50 mods, it should be number 50. (If you also have the Exotic Creature patch, the patch should be number 51).
Fair warning: I am completely done with stupid questions and questions that are clearly answered in the description. If you ask a question that is already answered in the description or in this post, I WILL DELETE YOUR COMMENT.
I have a named Gatorclaw and played with him for hours. I dismissed him to use another pet. I did not get the usual pop up which asks me where to dismiss him, it said "Killer is going home." I ensured I dismissed him while in sanctuary. I then went out adventuring for a few hours and came back to Sanctuary.
Upon trying to search for him in Sanctuary he was not there (all the other pets were though and they get the message of where I should send them if ever dismissed).
My only base that's actually been worked on is Sanctuary. It had max number of settlers and the size was maxed at the time and I couldn't build anything.
I've brought the settlement size down now to like 40% in the green.
I've looked for my gatorclaw everywhere in Sanctuary and also other settlements, he's not there.
I get messages "Killer enjoys spending time with you." and "Killer adores you" ... I know he's out there somewhere but cannot track him down. The last I got this message was when I fast travelled to that drive-thru theatre settlement near Drumlin diner (it has no settlers or anything built on it currently).
Is there a way to track pets as how we can companions via a VIP tracker to locate them on the map? Or is there a console command to summon them?
I do not have Fo4edit...but can that mod track him by locating the actor ID? I do not know his ID or how to search it though if anyone can assist with this please. Or is there another mod to use to locate him?
His set home is the Cambridge Police Station it seems hahaha. Right, all good, found him. Is there still a way of tracking pets in case this happens again in the future?
I believe if you talk to the pet, you can enable a tracker, which will show up in your quest log with their location. You can toggle this on and off as needed.
Love this mod, quite literally essential for me to be able to play as I want to. A bit worried the upcoming update on April 25th might break this. I'd hope not, and it would most likely just break Script Extender mods, but, we don't know until it comes out. Just hoping mod author see's this, and, if it does break when the update comes out, will hopefully fix it.
I know im being paranoid, but this mod is essential for me, and I hope not to lose it in the wave of mods that will be lost.
This mod would be boring as hell if tamed creatures weren't immortal. Nearly every creature besides deathclaws or yao gaui would just die nearly immediately once you entered combat.
Then take a step up and learn how to do xedit, then make them killable. "But they die because they are too stupid!!!" Well, take another step up and design a good AI mod for them.
game is ruined now im stuck with a deathclaw because i cant talk to it i cant dissmiss him and its ruined everything i genuinly wish i never use this mod
Dw I got you Go somewhere you want to leave the deathclaw and use tai command on it it will freeze it there till you use tai on it again Atleast that's my solution for it
I have two questions for anyone who's been using this mod, does the attack dog perk affect tamed Mongols, mutant hounds, and wolves? And do the tamed animals affect the lone wanderer perk work?

This made it work perfectly for me.

What is the point if they cant die? I dont get it.
No risk, no reward. Boring.

Is there a way to remove the wrong dialogue lines?
