What about locking these posters until you're the leader of the minutemen? it is odd to place them without having control of the faction, you'd be basicly spreading Preston's influence since he is the "general" before the player..
How about a few "warning" type of posters?

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll see if I can make the posters "unlock" after becoming the General in a future update, as of now though I'm not sure how this is done so I can't give any promises.
BTW, Preston is not the General at all, it was Becker (who had already died by the time the Sole Survivor meets the remaining Minutemen) who was the last General. Preston even states that he has no interest in becoming the General
Though wasn't Preston the "Last Minutemen" when you met him? He must've thought he was the current General, how else would him have had the authority that he bestowed to the Sole Survivor?
Were it not given to him prior? General Becker must have given Preston the leadership before he died and Preston realized he wasn't capable of leading the minuteman, even less the entire Commonwealth, maybe he grew disgusted with the position, and after seeing the Sole Survivor, which is a former Commonwealth original resident, a leader whose both skilled in combat and people, maybe it was a too sweet opportunity to pass up the blames.
If you travel a lot in the Commonwealth.. you may happen to come across dead minuteman, dead settlers, people who originated from the group in Quincy, there's quite a lot of them actually, maybe "General Preston" realized he wasn't capable of taking blame, to cope with the weight of the decisions and the cost of leadership, people tend to love and hate leaders, there's nothing in between that, it tends to be a position where you're responsible for everything, specially the blame.. some people aren't strong enought to deal with such responsabilities, even so, I believe Preston remained a officer, the 2th general of the reformed CM, under the Sole Survivor
Whatever the case, its a decision Preston will grow to be proud of, or hate
I have a more minor suggestion. In the power armor "While you starve to feed him" The man in power armor has a minuteman logo on his chest. Maybe that could be changed to a BoS one? As it doesnt make much sense.
The Minutemen generally save farms being attacked who have their crops stolen by raiders, while there are dialogues you run into with the BoS where you are ordered to seize food from local farmers "for the greater good" by their quartermaster. So, lore-wise and ideologically it would make more sense, but that would probably be for a different mod
For anybody who might be interested, I published an SMM Patch for Minutemen Propaganda Posters that creates a specific menu for it under the Decorations > Wall Decorations menu.
Right but the sole survivor lived in what was essentially a fascist dictatorship in all but name, remember, pre war America was ruled by the shadowy Enclave who are pretty much a neo Nazi organizing.
The Posters dont seem to work for me (the icons in the building menu are invisible and wont build anything), im using we are the minutemen so that might have something to do with it has anyone had this issue before

I'm having some trouble. The selection for the posters show up in the workshop but I can't see the icon or the poster on the wall. Any tips? I'm still new to modding lol
Did you ever find a fix for your issue? Im using settlement keywords expanded to put it in the SKE and it shows up but none of the icons show up and all the things are invisible.
woah what lovely mod perfect for my modern minutemen playthrough, but sir i wonder if you can add "I want YOU for the Minutemen | Enlist Now" with preston garvey holding the laser musket poster, well if you have time and you want to do it tho considering that this is an old mod but if sometime you gonna make it Thanks a lot.

I know it's a bit difficult, but can you do a tutorial on how you made your mod? I really wanted to make some posters too!
My fix:
1) Install the patch for this mod from the SKE mod page / archive file
2) Reinstall all the textures, meshes etc from THIS mod but NOT the .esp
That fixed it for me, as SKE user.
