About this mod

This removes sneak attacks from the game entirely. You will no longer get damage bonuses from sneak attacking! The perks which modify sneak attack damage have been replaced with new mechanics. Use this to create a sneaky gameplay experience without the overpoweredness of killing everything in one shot.

Permissions and credits
I have thusfar been playing my Sneaky rifleman without using Sandman or Ninja for a very good reason. The two perks make the game WAY too easy. The double Sneak Attack damage is bad enough. Free Instigating legendary anyone? Needless to say, I was not fond of the Sneak Attack system, in a game that has a difficult time being... difficult.

So, here's my solution, gutting Sneak Attack damage entirely. I have removed Sneak Attack multipliers, and the perks that added more (Sandman and Ninja) have been modified to use different mechanics. Overall, I have been playing with this mod, and I enjoy the game much more for it. I suggest it to anyone who finds one shotting Legendary Deathclaws to not be a fun experience.



Ninja Ranks:
  • Trained as a shadow warrior, you ignore 10% of your target's defenses, and have a 15% passive critical chance on targets that are unaware of danger.
  • Trained as a shadow warrior, you ignore 20% of your target's defenses, and have a 30% passive critical chance on targets that are unaware of danger.
  • Trained as a shadow warrior, you ignore 30% of your target's defenses, and have a 45% passive critical chance on targets that are unaware of danger.

Sandman Ranks:
  • As an agent of death itself, you can instantly kill a sleeping person. Your silenced weapons have +10% VATS accuracy while you are sneaking.
  • Your silenced weapons have +20% VATS accuracy while you are sneaking.
  • Your silenced weapons have +30% VATS accuracy while you are sneaking, and your first attack with a silenced weapon while sneaking will also Stagger enemies.

Companion Deacon Perk (Cloak & Dagger):
  • Thanks to your relationship with Deacon, you receive double Stealth Boy duration.

Calmex:
  • +3 Perception, +3 Agility and +100% critical damage to unaware targets for 8 minutes.

Incompatibility:
  • Obviously this will need to be placed below any mods which modify these perks.
  • Place Chem Redux below this one in load order for best results. The description of Calmex will be wrong, but its effects will work properly.
