OK boys, this is what I did to increase my backpack size:
Change the Data3.pak file type in this mod to .zip. Unzip it. Look up the the scripts/common_skills.xml file. You can increase the backpack size even more by editing the xml file, and changing the Backpack skills (id="InventorySize" change="YOUR VALUE HERE").
Look up the Dying Light/DW/Data3.pak file in your game install folder. Unzip it. Throw that folder in.
Zip up the file. Change extension from .zip to .pak.
Hi, Can you please tell me what lines were modified in the inventory_gen.scr file? I'm hoping to just use your lines in my existing file so that I can make it compatible with other mods I'm using
it works for inventory so far i can tell however this mod messes up fall damage so even if i fall from a car i take 20 damage. it also makes it so that you cant equip some weapons, cant hit zombies most of the times either. not a needed mod but if fixed could be fun to use. at current state dont even try to bother with it. will make the game unplayable.
The mod does not work properly on the started game, I did not check for fresh start. Cant attack zombies , the weapons from the backpack cannot be put into the inventory and the character "lost" most or all of the skills ...
After installing this or any other backpack expansion mods prevent me from doing weapon upgrades (F6), I get a dialog box saying I don't have the " " skill to upgrade the weapon.
It work, but there have been some minor changes in original game file "inventory_gen.scr" since this mod, I dont know if those changes is important or not. But if you want to keep things 100% up to date I suggest that you add the changes to newest game files found in data0.pak. extract them from that pak and transfer changes. Its very fast and easy to do a small free program called WinMerge.
