About this mod
Building on the work done by Infogram and the Orchestral Overhaul Mod team, this mod aims to replace the music within the game using high-quality orchestral compositions from prior entries in the series, most notably: Dragon Quest 1, 3, 5, and 8. -- Now updated for Definitive Edition!

This is an updated version of the Retro Music Mod for use with Definitive Edition.
Included is a (zipped) .pak file -- copy this file into <steamapps>\common\DRAGON QUEST XI S\Game\Content\Paks
(where <steamapps> is typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\ depending on your installation )
Yes, installation is (now) that simple -- thanks to spiritovod's incredible work reverse-engineering the pak format

Some things to note:
-This modreplaces 60+ tracks from all over the entire game.
(0.1.1:) increases the total number of tracks in the game to over 160
(0.1.3:) increases the total number of tracks in the game to 185
-The music should have more consistent volume compared to the originals.
-All loop points were manually added and checked.
-0.1.1 - 0.1.3:The default orchestral soundtrack is now accessible at any time in-game by changing the 'Soundtrack' setting to 'Synthesized' in the Audio Settings menu.

-Additional documentation is still forthcoming, but you can find a guide on custom music injection here (guide updated for DE - 04/21). You can also find me on Komodo's modding Discord here
