Makes a long time I've been absent here in DAnexus. Unfortunately I will not be able to return often. The real-world things are preventing me from returning. Therefore the support my mods will be impaired. I'm sorry.
Well, I'll keep away from DAnexus for a long time. I hope to return someday.
Thank you for giving your endorsement in my mod. .
UPDATE 3 : Now, this mod fixes in a definitive way the position of tattoos of lyrium of Fenris whether in cutscenes or using the ability "Lyrium Ghost". Do not interfere with the scene from "Ketojan - The Saarebas" of the quest "Shepherding Wolves". Fenris now will not have more tattoos appearing in the ribs and ears. Use the update according to the version you use (Retexture with dots(RV), Retexture without dots(RV_no_dots), Default version with dots(DV), Default version without dots(DV_no_dots) or package of options for Pre-Romance and Post-Romance). I forgot to mention in the description of the update that the "Package Options" you folks can use the "Default Version" as "Pre-romance" and use the "Retexture Version" as "Post-Romance" since they are the same type ("Default Version" for "Pre-Romance" with dots + "Retexture Version" for "Post-Romance" with dots). This is only possible with the options of this package (Package_Options) created especially for these combinations.
you mentioned it is not compatible with other armor retextures due to the position of the lyrium tattoos, but what if I am using for example this https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/4295 "Blue Wraith Armor" by @elleung which is basically the same as your armor only repainted all black?
The retextures available in this mod are modified to fix the position of the lyrium tattoos. They are not a simple recolor of the original texture of the game. This is the misunderstanding of the people who come here to download this mod. What has been done here is the only way to fix the position of the lyrium tattoos. It would only work if she was using the retexture provided by this mod. But I do not remember having authorized any type of recoloring of the textures that I have made available for this mod in these years. But in one of the images that I saw in the mod mentioned by you it doesn't seem to be my retexture because the lyrium tattoos are totally out of place covering the whole body.
So sorry I just saw this now, but I am commenting for those who will have this question in the future. No, my files from the Blue Wraith armor mod are not compatible with this mod due to conflicting files. Furthermore, this file and mine are incompatible with any* mods that change the original armor (retextures included) and lyrium glow for Fenris. Thanks!
I wish so much that this was compatible with the "Darker Fenris Morph with HD Textures and Skin Tint Map" mod!! I wonder: would it be possible to make them compatible by creating a new tint file? I'm still very inexperienced and lacking knowledge when it comes to making mods, so idk if there maybe is an obvious reason why that wouldn't work
Do the dots only appear in battle? Doing his quest and I don't notice anything when it doesn't glow. Maybe it's just the lighting. I suppose I'll see. I should really think more before I comment. Disregard this. (also, maybe I misunderstood, is the glowing around the head a glitch or is that a fix? that's the issue I was referring to that made me hesitant about downloading this)
The dots only appear in battle. I decided not to modify the face texture to avoid incompatibilities. The pieces of lyrium tattoo that appear on the back of the head are problems in UV Map that are not possible to be removed. It is a limitation imposed by the game in which I tried the best possible to circumvent them.
It's weird since the dots are actually canon, as seen in WoT. For some reason they weren't in DA2, though. So it's not even a retcon here, it's actually fixing something to make it canon, lol. I'd download it, but I have an armor retexture I like and the glowing on his head would bother me to no end, lol. Amazing job, though. A shame it's not compatible with other mods.
The incompatibility is due to the position of the lyrium tattoos on the texture. If the position is modified, they will all be out of place. It is a limitation imposed by the game and not by me. There is also the version without the tattoos on the forehead.
From the description page: Incompatible with all mods that change the original armor or texture of the armor of Fenris. It was somewhat small. I almost missed it myself. I also had to reread it to make sure it was not incompatible with head morphs. :-)

This mod was a gamechanger for me, awesome work, immediately endorsed.
I've had only a strange problem in the last few days: the mod had been working perfectly for almost a whole playthrough, but then, during act 3, when I picked up Fenris for the Mark of the Assassin dlc, after leaving him alone for a while, the vanilla glow came back :/
I use another mod that alters Fenris, but only the head model and textures, and it didn't give any problems until now...
The mod is this one
http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/3930/?
If anybody had a similar problem, knows the reason or a fix, I'd be very grateful... having a sparkling elven swordsman, more similar to a twilight saga vampire than to a lyrium ghost, striding across the battlefield is making me want to pluck my eyes out...
Anyway, while it was working, it was an awesome mod, just seeing how much despair its malfunction causes points it out very well xD
Thank you for the kind words. Glad you enjoy my mod.
Well, I'll be very honest. It has more than two years that I do not create mods for DA2. I have dedicated the little free time that I have to create mods for Skyrim. I'll try to help you but I do not remember much of some important details that are needed to add mods for DA2.
From what I remember this mod, there is a file called "vfx_base_lgfu.gda" that can not be overwritten. Perhaps, there is some other mod that overwrites this file. The mod mentioned by you does not interfere with my mod. Check for any mod used by you that perhaps modify, minimize or completely remove the "VFX effects" of spells or abilities. I remember that problems like this are always caused because some mod change the same file from another mod. I hope I have helped you in the best way. : )
I had the same problem and thanks to ashtar01 i found the problem... i installed the mod Morozik75 Arsenal and this mod edits the vfx_base ... i had to unpack his erf-file, remove the conflicting rows (and they r not needed for Morozik75's mod, he just worked scruffy) and packed the files back to an erf-file. Now all works like it should.

Did anyone find a way to make it play nice with Ellise's HR Fenris Armor? https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/3970
I would absolutely love to use both.
