About this mod

Adds 13 new skin tones to character generation, and alters Hawke\'s family to match.

Permissions and credits
Edited May 2: Fixed a missing tint issue with h1s4 Bethany that was causing white eyebrows.

Edited April 18: AH-HA! I found the source of the 'nose bruise' effect. Overlooked an alpha channel. -.- This mod now includes some slightly tweaked texture maps, eliminating both the nose bruise and the tendency of darker tones to look blotchy and weird in certain lighting.

(Also, I fixed the lipstick map, because it's part of the same texture file and I figured why not.)

This mod adds 13 new skin colors to character generation, and modifies the Hawke family presets (including adding an additional three full sets of heads) to better correspond to the new colors. A few skin tones will still result in a relatively stark difference from your family, but it should be less blatant and less common than in the default game.

I included a chart showing the skin tone progression, but the screencaps don't really do it justice (it doesn't help that Hawke won't stop bloody fidgeting during character creation). The distinctions are less subtle than they appear, I promise.

(I'd like to have gone a little darker with the darkest tones, but the game already has trouble with the skin shaders at its own darkest shade. Get too far from that and stuff just looks ugly.)

A note on compatibility:
This is only ~sort of~ compatible with other mods that add skin tones. You can use both at once, just tack the new tints from my mod onto the chargenmorph.xml from somebody else's, but doing so will break the family resemblance setup. So, if you're using, say, Pineappletree's ported Tints and Tones, you've got two choices; one, just replace those skins with these, and leave the eye colors and stubble selection as-is, or two, add these tones to those, and just accept that you'll look adopted half the time. :)

**SPOILER**
Also included is an optional replacement head for Charade, giving her darker coloring and slightly more neutral features. I know Snarky!Hawke says Charade and Gamlen look nothing alike, but there's "not related" and "not plausible," y'know? Very dark Hawkes may appreciate the change.
