Just a question, the mod works and i don't have any invisible wynne or other issues, but to be clear: wynne is recruited nonetheless. She's automatically recruited and i cannot leave her at the tower, right?

Qwinn's Fixpack modifies the gen00pt_party ncs and nss files as well. It's for updating the codex whenever a party member leaves permanently.

According to the Fixpack 3.5 Developer Notes Readme:
When any follower leaves the party for good, a bit of script was supposed to remove the codex entry describing what kinds of gifts they like so that that did not remain the final codex entry for that follower. That bit of script was bugged and did not work. It does now, though the gift entry will not disappear until the next time a save game is loaded.
HOW: In gen00pt_party.nss, find all instances of "OBJECT_SELF" and replace with "oFollower".

Qwinn's Fixpack is packaged as a dazip file though, so this mod automatically overrides it.
I don't mind losing the updated codex fix, but if you ever get around to making a compatibility patch I'd appreciate it. :)

Ah... thank you for confirming my suspicions, friend.

Yes, I agree this is more essential than a simple codex fix so will be letting it override but would definitely be nice to see a fix.

Hey hello, just wanna ask if it's only the codex fix gets affected? nothing else? i can live with that if so.
This mod is too good to not use over a codex fix.

I've edited Qwinn's file to allow for Wynne to be removed from the party and have uploaded it here.
      Called Qwinn No Wynne.

Everything else in the script conforms to Qwinn's changes (which were very minor).

Hi! Sorry if this turns out to be a stupid question, but I downloaded the mod and put it in Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override, started the game and went to the Circle. After Wynne has taken the barrier down I still can't unlock her :( This is the 1st mod I've ever used so could I be missing something...?

Sorry I didn't respond sooner - I haven't really been staying on top of this. Honestly, I posted it on a whim and didn't really think this many people would download it. But i'm very flattered it's your first mod.

I'm not really sure what you mean by "unlock." You mean you still can't remove her from the party? If this is the only mod you're using, I'd say try downloading it and reinstalling it. You put it in the right folder, but maybe the download was corrupted. It happens from time to time. If you installed other mods after this, most likely something overwrote it. Then things become more difficult because we don't want to break another mod trying to fix this one. I know it's been a while, but I'll try to check on this more often in case you come back to it.

Just wanted to say that it is April of 2019, and I am using this mod. Thank you for it!

for anyone wondering, thereĀ“s an invisible Wynne talking in the imprisoned Cullen conversation if you are using the cullen romance mod for the mage origin

I think someone mentioned this before. I don't use the Cullen romance mod, but I'd be willing to take a look at it if you like. I suspect that it's looking to see if Wynne is alive rather than if she's in the party. If that's the case, it should be an easy thing to fix.

This mod isn't necessary. You can change your party as often as you like during the 'Broken Circle' quest by returning to the area you first meet Wynne and opening the companion screen in this area. I suspect most people don't know this because it only works in this area.

I'm not trolling, but you are quite rude.

I also never said this mod was "irrelevant", I said it was "unnecessary". Which it is, since it's purpose is in the base game already.
You simply go back to where the mages and children are (where you meet Wynne) and open the party selection menu.

Logicsniper: You need to go back and check your companion screen again. In that area, you can change any party member EXCEPT WYNNE. Wynne is locked in whether you like it or not. Which was the whole point of this mod. I didn't like it, I didn't need an extra mage, I wanted her out. Maybe you've found some other mod that does that - I don't know of one, obviously, or this wouldn't exist - but in the base game, no, you cannot do it. You can switch out the other party members, but you're stuck with Wynne unless you kill her.

Dcadigan: You really were rude. Logicsniper was totally wrong about party functionality in that area, and I appreciate the defense of my mod, but come on, have some manners.

Thanks for making this! I know there's a mod like this for Oghren and the Deep Roads, too, but I particularly like this one since it means I get to see more characters' nightmares. So, it's really nice to be able to recruit Wynne, but still have 3 other characters during the Fade sequence. Thank you for making this!

Well, I hope you don't stress too much about that mod conflict with Wynne's dialogue. I'm at work right now, and can't check my override folder, but I am almost completely certain it will turn out to be a mod conflict. As you know, those are a dime a dozen. Right now, for instance, after installing Improved Atmosphere's last fixpack, I no longer run into randomly naked people, but I do have a bodyless Lanaya in the Brecilian Forest. Head and staff showing, nothing more.

With so many mods installed, and zero modding experience, I have no idea what files to look for in that regard.

Gimme a couple of days to find the wynne file, delete it, and run a new playthrough.

I think I've confirmed no bugs with you Wynne mod. Wynne at lvl 18 was 1hp higher than Valeria at level |7 (rogue). So I assume there IS stat growth.

There's one conversation when an invisible Wynne delivers a line, it's the one with Cullen imprisoned right before fighting Uldred. I assume you couldn't find any way to filter that out?

    Good job, nonetheless.

I didn't need to filter it out because the code was designed by Bioware not to play that dialogue unless Wynne was in your party. That's why it doesn't trigger if you've killed her. Try running that scene with Cullen again - it may have been a one-time glitch. I've had that happen - where a wrong audio file will play by accident.

Another possibility is that a different mod changed Cullen's dialogue file and set the wrong conditional for Wynne's lines. If the author set it to check whether Wynne was alive, rather than in the party - assuming that if she was alive she'd be locked into the party by default - that would cause her lines to trigger regardless of whether she was physically there. Check if file cir230_cullen.dlg is in your Override folder, and if it is, remove it and see if the line still plays. Unfortunately, if that's the problem, it's not something I can fix; you'd need to talk to the other mod author about it.

I'm glad to hear that the hp issue wasn't my doing. I do wonder what mod was causing the conflict, tho.

I'm taking longer than expected to test your stuff again because I'm taking the Sacrifice Alistair path to get the completionist achievement. That means I'll lose Morrigan for the final fight, which means I can't risk to have Wynne gimped.

I'll probably test yours and Starrarte's mod this weekend. Since Shale is the second worst companion, next to Dog (combat-wise) I never use her, so I hadn't seen the glitches you found on that Oghren mod there.

No hurry. Just if at some point you figure out which mod was causing the conflict, drop me a line.

I did test 1.1c for Bye Oghren, and it worked just like it was supposed to, so I think you'll be pleased. Thanks for pointing it out to me. Now I'm gonna use it too.
