    Frequently Reported Issues

    > I get corrupted script files error, invalid input error or the mod does not work
    1. A few things you must check before any troubleshoting:
    1.1. Required game version is 2.02 or higher.
    1.2. Make sure that you have the latest red4ext and redscript at least, this is critical
    1.3. Make sure that new logs are being created in Cyberpunk 2077\r6\logs each time when you run the game
    1.4. If you have red4ext, redscript and cybercmd installed then remove cybercmd. You must have red4ext or cybercmd, not both at the same time (and check r6/config folder for any old cybercmd leftovers).
    1.5. Check that your Cyberpunk 2077\r6\cache\modded folder is empty, if you don't have that folder - create it (and leave empty)
    1.6. Validate your game files integrity
    1.7. Run your game from Cyberpunk2077.exe directly, with no launchers, mod managers or redmod involved. It is recommended to enable redmod only when you get to the point where your redscript mods work with no issues.
    2. Then first and most important rule - read the logs.
    2.1. Check your latest Cyberpunk 2077\red4ext\logs\red4ext-.log file to make sure that you don't have outdated red4ext plugins, if you see any warning started with "Could not load plugin" it means that related mod is outdated so remove/update it.
    2.2. Check your Cyberpunk 2077\r6\logs\redscript_rCURRENT.log file, lines starting with ERROR usually can highlight the broken mod. If you see "Symbol with this name is already defined" error it means that you have either broken base scripts files (validating the game files integrity should fix that) or some mod installed twice (so browse through your log and check if you have installed some other copies of that file which throws an error to the log).
    3. If you are using Vortex then make sure that you have REDMod Autoconversion feature disabled before installing any mods.
    4. Try to delete everything inside Cyberpunk 2077\r6\cache\modded folder if you have it and verify your game files integrity one more time
    5. If you have any issues running redscript based mods then also check your game installation path, if it contains any non-english characters your mods might not work properly.

    I installed the mod but hotkeys do not work
    > Your Input Loader and/or red4ext are installed incorrectly. Check Cyberpunk 2077\red4ext\logs\red4ext.log to make sure that Input Loader has been loaded. Also it might be enough just to close the game and launch it again to force Input Loader use newly generated keybinds (you have to do that once).

    I don't need current district label for the minimap, how do I remove it?
    > You can disable it from the Mod Settings menu

    How to change the hotkeys:

     - go to Cyberpunk 2077\r6\input folder
     - open LimitedHUD.xml with any text editor
     - find and replace IK_F1IK_F6 and IK_F8 with any other hotkey codes

    I'm trying to find a way to remove the banded black ellipse behind popups. It doesn't show up behind them on my UW, so it'll show up in the unrelated bottom left corner of the screen when I get a popup for picking up a gun in the middle left and it's really distracting. I couldn't find anything in the config that's directly related, is it possible I'm missing something or there's another way to go about it?

      Had the same infuriating bug.
      LHUD doesn't touch this but here is a mod for you to "fix" it (by getting rid of it).
      DJ, do you think it could be fixed properly by LHUD ? (Not LHUD's scope I know)

    Is there any way to remove the widget for when there's an active phone call in the top left?
    I've tried toggling everything off but nothing seems to get rid of it

    Is there a way to turn off the TV and get up prompts when you sit down in an apartment?

    I have gone through everything and cannot seem to find that, am I being an idiot or is there no such option?

    i've tried disabling the world combat module so i can't see the threat metre, but it's still there. is there any way to disable the threat metre?

      do you mean the "world markers - combat" module? if so, i quicksaved, turned it off, reloaded, and i still see the threat metres

      Oh, I thought that you want that indicators back. To hide turn on world markers - combat module on and adjust visibility options as you like. If you still can see detection markers then no ideas, maybe conflicts with some other mod (or you have some global visibility condition enabled which make it visible, like Show Out of Combat for example)

      Leave Is module enabled as on, others depends on when you wanna see those markers (if you want to hide them all the time then set every other option to off )

      I'm just trying to figure out which toggle under the module to use. So, to understand your mod better, "show" refers to the elements of the HUD, right? So, for example, if I toggled on "show with scanner", then the relevant HUD elements only show when I use my scanner, right?

    Hey dude I had an idea. First of all, this mod has enhanced my experience a great amount, thank you. So, do you think it possible to have hud appear in the weapon select menu? I was just thinking that would be a great place for the journal and map. Cheers

      Not sure about that, you can bind it to scanner maybe (I'm gonna add scanner option to a few more widgets later)

    Option to BindToGlobalHotkey is no longer available via settings. In prior versions we had to toggle this option in setting in order to use F1 as HUD on/off switch. That option is no longer available. I have set this option as true via r6/script, changed F1 to F9 via r6/inputs. Still I'm unable to use this feature. I'm not sure what's wrong. Only HUD related mod I am using is Project E3 - HUD.

      You mixed two different things into one, global hotkey is F8 and it's still there, F1 is used for simple hud toggle which was moved to standalone mod a while ago.

    I think ive found an issue with LHUD - but i dont know if its just me.

    I dont know why - but activating LHUD is making me CPU bound. I installed PresentMon and when i right click to zoom with a weapon, my GPU busy time lowers, making my GPU usage drop because it cant get fed fast enough from the CPU. Very weird situation..

    It doesnt happen if LHUD is diabled. Has anyone reported something like this before? Maybe its the particular settings im using too..???
    • Edit: Nope, its not the settings - i reverted back to LHUD defaults for both sections and its still the same behaviour.


    Enabled: Notice the left green OSD, the percentage next to FPS is the GPU usage (66%):

    And heres its disabled (everything setting left the same):
    Notice the gpu usage in the FPS section is 99% and doesnt really change when gaming.

    Any ideas whats causing this - its a pretty drastic effect on gameplayaffects gameplay

      The only thing I'm aware of which might cause this is Better Loot Markers conflict and you probably have it installed. I tried to research but didn't get any FPS drops, maybe need a savegame in the area where that's really noticeable (or anyone who wanna test possible fixes in discord)

      Yap, it is connected to betterlootmarkers. When blms is disabled - everything is fine. Other's have noticed : https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/10753403-better-loot-markers/page-27#entry129916478

      It might help maybe, I've found a few potential places where it can clash but need something to test to be able to verify that my fixes work

      Yes, can confirm this too. Better Loot Markers and this mod, if both enabled, then fps drops half. Trying out now the "hotfix" for this issue.

      It did for me - my GPU usage isnt dropping anymore.

      I'm experiencing the same issue now. Is there any way you could share the hotfix? Also using Better Loot Markers and LHUD, and my fps drops whenever I aim, zoom or block with a weapon.
