When an attack 'misses', this mod will dynamically change how characters react to being 'missed' and might block instead, based on how armored they are, shield equipped, and other relevant stats!

Block n' Miss Differentiation (AKA Bliss) Also check it out in the in-game mod browser! Just search for "Bliss" Overview
In Baldur's Gate 3 (and Dungeons & Dragons) a character's Armor Class (or AC) is a normal number that represents how difficult it is to damage them with any attack. A character can improve their AC by many ways, but the two most common methods are
1. Increase their dexterity --OR-- 2. Harness protective equipment
You can imagine characters with high ACs nimbly dodging and weaving between arrows, DUCKING without a moment to spare before the world's largest and MEANEST GREATSWORD cleaves the air above them that once enveloped their stomach. Likewise, you can also imagine characters so ENVELOPED in metal and padding and hardhats diamonds. So much so, that they begin to look more like walking TANKS. BEHEMOTHS of man, with more METAL than FLESH. Who needs quick reflexes to dodge behind a wall in the nick of time, when YOU CAN WEAR THE WALL.
This is where vanilla Baldur's Gate 3 fails us. Every time an attack fails against a character, "Miss!" displays as the outcome above the character no matter what. I know. How could they. Luckily, this mod is here to save the day!
Dynamically adds flair and stuffs based on if a character is more of a tank, or more of a nimble thief!
Features Flair text! Criticals support! SFX! Animations! Supports every character! (NPCs, PCs, Origins, EVERYONE IS HERE) Probably patch 8 compatible!
I developed a tool to create new animation sets and apply them to any character in the game, also allowing them to be controlled by applying dynamic animation tags via statuses. I've published the tool for public use here: https://github.com/TheWlr9/bg3-animation-remapper
Special Thanks
Thank-you to the BG3 modding community as this was my first mod EVER in my life and so many folks were friendly and helpful with some really tough questions as a mod that overwrites code/data this close to engine resources/data is rare and a fickle beast to develop.
Thank-you to JuuM for providing above-and-beyond help and resource pointing
Thank-you to Manuel Castañón for providing the wonderful mod page art, as well as the French translation!
Ofc thank-you to Norbyte for their fantastic work by making BG3 mods Turing-complete in creating Script Extender
Ofc thank-you to LaughingLeader for publishing the BG3MM
Ofc thank-you to ShinyHobo for creating BG3 Modders Multitool (hands-down the best modding tool for BG3)!
Larian Studios. For making one of my favourite games of all time (yes BG3 in case it wasn't obvious)
