If quests break when you summon the chest, you're probably using one of the "All Items" mods. Remove it!
(And I'd really recommend you just stop using such mods if you are, in general. It seems only a matter of time before it will break your quests even if it hasn't yet.)
800k+ downloads and 15k+ endorsements - if the mod doesn't work for you, it's because you haven't installed it correctly or because some other mod is breaking things. Not because it "doesn't work."
Standard troubleshooting instructions:
Close the game and whichever mod manager you're using.
Delete modsettings.lsx from your Public profile folder.
Launch the game from Steam / GOG (this will make it recreate a clean modsettings file.)
Close the game.
If you were using BG3 Mod Manager, delete its folder.
Use BG3 Mod Manager to install the latest version of the mods you intend to use (File -> "Import Mod...")
Let the mod manager install Script Extender for you if it asks, or use the menu Tools -> "Download & Extract the Script Extender..."
If the mod manager still complains about Script Extender missing or being out of date, launch the game to the main menu and exit from there, then restart the mod manager. (Thanks mrvlslt!)
Drag the mods to the left side of the window to activate them.
Move this mod last in the list to avoid some conflicting mod breaking it.
Save the mod list. (Ctrl-S)
Launch the game from BG3 Mod Manager.
No game update has ever made this mod stop working. If you're here to post that a patch broke it - no, it didn't. All your mods probably just got disabled. Re-save the mod list (BG3 Mod Manager) or deploy (Vortex) to get mods working again.
Game patches do often break Script Extender. In the unlikely scenario this is the only installed mod that uses it, you can switch to one of the scriptless versions to avoid the problem, but more likely you'll just have to be patient for a few hours until Script Extender has been updated.
I installed the latest update of Tutorial Chest Summoning - No Hide (I use Script Extender), and it always causes CTD on character creation screen upon starting a new game. I reverted to the previous version (2.8.0.1), and the crashing didn't occur.

The mod functionnal well when I start a new game, get a new companion but when I load a save notthing appears, no icon in hotbar or inbar in the game when spells are there; so my save crash because of that ! how I do ?
I don't understand, doens't matter how many times I pass on, the icon of tutorial chest doens't show up ! At a new start game it's show up, but when I load my save in advanced game, it's crash, I made the error to put the icon of tutorialchest into the hotbar, so either I desinstall mod or use another hide or no hide, my save crashed...
I want to remove this mod into the save cause it's collapse anyways I don't know why

In BG3MM, it says this mod requires v2 or higher of the Script Extender, but the highest version that's been released is v16 or something like that and it's still showing up... I've re-downloaded the Script Extender multiple times and have verified I have the most current version of it each time I have done so, yet the little notification icon in BG3MM for this mod will not go away. And yes, I did load the game to the main menu, exit, then reopen mod manager and it's still yelling at me lol

I'm using the Scriptless version because I'm on a Mac, so no Script Extender. Works perfectly for me. Becomes available on the first hide. After that it's a spell that creates the Tutorial Chest in your inventory. I suggest trying a non-SE version.
I had the same problem, but I don't know if we have the same cause. All my skills/abilities also weren't working along with a few other mods. But through some troubleshooting I discovered the problem was the sword saint class mod. I don't know why but as soon as I uninstalled that mod everything was back to normal and working.
Would anyone happen to know which mod causes an interaction with this one that leads to multiple stacks(3 rows) of 40-99million gold every time upon summoning the chest? It's so obnoxious and is causing a ton of clutter. I've been trying to look into it myself but I have so many clothing, weapons, and armor mods that it'll be incredibly time consuming.
It may be useful for someone. I got an issue with the chest icon not showing up. In my case, the problem was in a load order path. My game crashed recently and it created a new folder for user data "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Debug_Client_Profile_1". The default folder was "Public", but after the crash the game started to use the new folder named "Debug_Client_Profile_1". The chest icon appeared after I changed the load order path in Mod Manager to "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Debug_Client_Profile_1\Debug_Client_Profile_1\modsettings.lsx" and exported the load order again.
