You technically can't through equiping in game. The gun replaces the Clerk/The Boss job's boxcutters so you must have it initially entering a game meaning if you already have the mod files replacing your game files and you had anything but the boxcutters equiped , Put back in the original files, go in game select the clerk job and equip the boxcutters. Now you can replace the vanilla files with the mod files and now you should have the gun equiped. You cannot unepuip the gun or you will have to do the process over as the gun itself is not an "equipable" item.
I copied the mod files to my data folder and overwrote what needed to be overwritten, but all I ended up with was just Eri in Seong's outfit. It says the boss job is equipped and even has Seong's portrait, but that's literally it. I'm using the English version of the game, BTW.
Edit: I figured out the problem (I think). According to the Playable Kiryu and Majima Mod, that mod won't work if you already have a mod that alters the db.yazawa.en.par file. I do, in fact, have a mod that alters that file. Maybe that's what went wrong. The mod also states that issues could arise if you use said mod outside of Premium Adventure mode. That could very well apply to this mod, too.
hmmm suddenly when i upgrade the gun by fuse with ceramic box cutter it transform into a ruler of clerk class which cant use any boss elemental shoot anymore , could you fix the EX version of the gun please?
Hey, realise this is two years down the line but if anyone else has the same problem i was able to fix this buy changing her job into anything else, and then selling all the clerk weapons i owned then changing her job back into the boss. this reequipped the gun and fixed the move set problems i was having.

Edit: Found a fix by equipping the normal box cutter (The Gun replaces that) you will be able to have the gun equipped
