Great stuff on the latest version. Hopefully your work here will be applicable without much hassle for the upcoming Yakuza 6 PC release since it's the same engine and all.
Yeah I've just been really dragging my feet on it, sorry haha. As for 7, It's not the same font as all the other games so I may or may not do it too. From what it looks like it's already pretty reasonably high res so it doesnt seem like it really needs it. Maybe though, would you want *this* font in 7, or would you want a higher res version of 7's font?
Thank you for the mod! Its amazing so far. Quick question, which parts of the game use Italics? and as the mod doesn't currently support it, what happens when italics show up in text? Thanks!
Yknow I'm actually not sure which parts specifically use italics, it's usually just when a word has emphasis in a sentence. I can't really think of any in-game examples, I just know I haven't made italics for it yet lol. As for what happens when they show up, it should just display the default low-res texture. There's 2 textures in Kiwami 2, one sheet with regular text in it and another sheet with the same text but italicized. The default italics texture is still there, so it should display normally, just not high-res like the rest of the text.

You ship yakuza.dds in \data\font\ but it's actually meant to be in \data\font\en\ folder which is there too but empty
