For those having mismatched texture issues, here was the fix for me:
Download both ParTool andHxD(you should be able to find the two just by Googling "ParTool Yakuza GitHub" and "HxD Hex Editor"). - Remember to make a New Folder and place the downloaded ParTool.exe inside. This folder will be used as a ParTool workspace.
Once these two apps are set up, find the Yakuza Kiwami 2 file directory. - (The folder where you place RyuModManager.exe).
Click into the data folder.
Find db.par and copy it to a safe location. This will be a backup if you mess up during the editing/packing process. - I recommend placing the backup folder inside of the ParTool folder that you made in Step 1.
After creating a backup, click and drag the original db.par OVER the ParTool.exe inside the folder. - This will unpack the .par file so you can properly open it.
Click into the unpacked db.par file (named db.par.unpack) and locate "character_tex_change_table.bin" (inside of en folder).
Open HxD.exe and drag "character_tex_change_table.bin" into the HxD window.
Hit Ctrl+F on your keyboard and paste this into the box: c_am_kiryu - Then hit OK. This should highlight a row of numbers and letters.
Replace all of the highlighted numbers/letters with zero (hitting the 0 key one by one). Save the file and close HxD. - You should now see a new .bak file in the en folder labeled "character_tex_change_table.bin.bak"
Delete "character_tex_change_table.bin"and then rename the new .bak file exactly the same name (just by deleting the ".bak"). - This will change the .bak into a .pak
Now go back to your ParTool folder and drag "db.par.unpack" over the ParTool.exe (the same thing you did to unpack in step 5). -This will pack the file back into .par format
Delete the original db.par from the Yakuza Kiwami 2 data folder and drag your newly edited/packed db.par to replace it.
Apply the Demo Kiryu mod like you usually would using RyuModManager :)
A very dense and overly detailed little guide from someone who's inexperienced with modding, but I really do hope this makes everything clear! It's always frustrating when details and essentials are skipped over and, in a way, gatekept by those who can help. Love y'all and enjoy the drip.
Is there a way to actually use this mod in Yakuza 6? I can't seem to find a blue jacket mod that works for Y6 anywhere. Which is strange considering I wouldn't think it would be such a difficult mod to track down.
Wasn't there already a port of this model since 2019 (when the game was released on PC)? Anyway great job, nobody had made a RMM version of it. Props to you! If you want to add more variants of his Demo model there's also the jacketless and shirtless model. You could just search it up in Yakuza 6 mods.
I think timo originally ported the model to YK2 but it uses the old method (.exe version) and if you try to make loose files RMM compatible it will still not work I guess .
I think the only way before was to inject the files into the chara.par through Par Manager and the .exe version didn't work (atleast for me). But idk haven't used Blue Jacket mod in a while so I can't say for sure.

By the way, once we get this sorted are you able to make a version for 6 as well?
you might have to get a character_tex_change_table.bin from the ymc discord, then you need to put the file in db.par
Can I add the mod on Yakuza 6 or are they using different paths?
just change some folder names
