It seems that this mod is broken. I am using v4.1.0, I installed with Nexus Mod Manager and it shows the text of installation of the mod but there's nothing new in the main menu.

For anyone still playing this game 2.0 or after, go into the config file inside of the md folder within NESA. Modify the trade range, hire range, etc. to whatever distance you desire. Save to desktop, then replace the original in the NESA folder. This makes it to where you do not have to be near the npc hub to interact via comms.

Version 2 is now out and some of it's new commands seem to conflict with this mod...hopefully it will get updated soon.
It seems to have gotten rid of the pointer to where the NPC is located. So you have to use versions 2's method to find the NPC you want to hire/talk
and the autopilot routine regularly crashes my ship into the station and lots of other things when I try to go where-ever the NPC is located.

Hello friends of the site nexus.

I am Brazilian of the city of Santos, and I adore intelligent simulators. X Rebirth challenges my mind and I get like this to sleep the times.

for the creators of the mod. I detected a flaw in the mod when entering in the menu and to choose between jump player or NESA the flaw it disappears with the option NESA. The updating of NPC of the space station comes back the item 1 and 2 of the menu pushing the jump player for the option 3 and like this disappearing with the option NESA. He/she gave moment in before I can only select jump. Please repair the mistake. Thank you.

Great mod. The only thing it needs is for the Trade offer updates "smalltalk" reward to be an option on any trader. That would be awesome and would really add to the mod.

    Hi,
i tried to bring it to work in 1.18. No chance.
Perhaps i am to stupid or there is a trick.
The config tool works fine but the mod doesn't work with my game.

What do you mean by "doesn't work"? Is the menu entry in the Universe menu not showing up? Is it greyed out?

Is there a message on screen when loading saying "Installing NESA V0.9.0..."? If not, are you sure you have placed the NESA folder in the right place?

Actually, the mod contained the italian language file, but I had given it the wrong language code (my bad, sorry). I have added the correctly labeled file as an optional upload in the upload section.

Where is V0.9.1? It doesn't show up in downloads only above in "Latest Version" above.

    Download still says V0.9.0

The main download itself is still V0.9.0. I just called the release of the configuration tool V0.9.1.

Just wanted to throw a thank you your way for an excellent mod. My spinning head (from walking the hallways of the stations) sincerely thanks you.

Also to let you know that I am using Windows 8 (not 8.1 yet) and your alternate configuration utility files works great, I'm now seeing white backgrounds with black text on the config utility. Well done!

    Important Edit:

Ignore the following postings as I found the bug is caused by Rebirth and NOT by NESA.
I just leave my posts as replies to nothing will cause confusion.

And a really big SORRY to "mad_joker" the author of this great tool.

    Hi.

Great work, but I may have found a "bug":

After hiring a tech for the "Skunk" the tech aboard the "Rahanas" has vanished.
Maybe I hired that tech twice?

I noticed this behavior several times - and always I forget to write down the names to confirm, sorry.

If I'm right can You move hired NPCs to another section please?

Edit: Now I definately hired another tech and again the tech I assigned to the "Rahanas" before has gone.

So, you are hiring an Engineer, then docking at the Rahanas, commanding your Engineer to work there, undock, use the comm to hire another engineer, and once the cutscene of the engineer entering the Skunk is over, the engineer on board of the Rahanas vanished?

I don't really have any idea what could be causing such behavior, so if you could tell me the exact steps I need to perform to reproduce this bug, that would be great. Please also make sure that you have tried it with all other mods deactivated, to ensure NESA is causing the problem.

I just tried the following steps, checking personal between every step.

      1) loaded savegame without any extensions but NESA
      2) landed at Rahanas and assigned tech
      3) return to ship (autosave)
      4) aquired new tech, selecting "work on my ship"
      ---> tech on Rahanas gone.

Then I tried manually, again with intensive checking
      1) loaded autosave
      2) searched for tech
      3) landed on station
      4) hired tech -> no option "work on my ship" or "work on different ship" (original text may be different as I have to re-translate from German)
--> tech on Rahanas still there.

      Edit:
      I just made another try:

      1) loaded savegame (from first try) again
      2) landed at Rahanas and assigned tech
      3) return to ship (autosave)
      4) aquired new tech, selecting "work on other ship"
---> tech on Rahanas still there,
tech on Skunk seems to do nothing (I suppose as the dialogue-option "ship stats" is missing)

      Edit 2:
direct after I hired another tech to "work on my ship"
--> Rahanas w/o tech again, Skunk with 2 techs (one of them working)

I just made a different try (with a lot of extensions activated):
Before getting the Rahanas I hired an engineer (by landing on a station) and assigned him to the Rahanas when I got it.
      --> save
After the pirates were finished I landed on a station and hired another tech.
Here I was asked "work on my ship" or "work on another ship" and, of course, I selected "work on my ship" leaving me with the engineer on the Rahanas vanished.

So I reloaded the save with deactivated NESA and retried to hire en engineer.
No question were to work here and no vanishing engineer.

As far as I understand You created the ability to have more than 1 tech at a time aboard the skunk (which is basically a very good idea) and XR messes it up.

Edit: Maybe this only happens when I have a tech BEFORE I initially got the Rahanas, so I couldn't decide where the engineer should work.
      Or in this case:
I hire a tech to work on my ship but assign him to work on a another ship later and then hire a new one for the skunk again.

      Edit #2:
Thinking of this I might have found the problem (the cases in my first edit nor tested yet):
Whenever a tech is assigned to work on the skunk (the initial tech in my save was automatically assigned to the skunk) I assume he gets somehow flagged.
Even I assign him to another ship I think he keeps this flag causing the game to replace (fire) him when flagging a new one.
