I cannot for the life of me get this mod to work. Or more so, I can't get TexMod to launch my game with this mod selected. I keep getting the error "s#*! Happened D'OH". Which doesn't explain shit. I've looked all over the internet for solutions and everything I've tried will not work. It's frustrating because this one of the few mods I saw that I really wanted to try.
Hey There Alex, the mod look so nice but don't work for me. when picking the mod and click run, the game launch but the mod doesn't work. Still the classic suit from the game, help please
I'm having trouble using Texmod. I will copy and paste what I wrote in the posts of Wazerad's variant.
I followed the instructions but this mod doesn't seem to override the classic suit. I went into Texmod, went to target application, found the EXE file in Binaries, selected the package (I first dropped off the TPF on my desktop, clicked on the folder in Texmod, went to desktop, and clicked on the TPF there), clicked on the newly-installed TPF, and hit run. My game still shows the vanilla classic Wolverine skin. Any idea on what is the issue?
On a side note, while I am grateful for your work, I was wondering if you could offer an alternative installation. Instead of using Texmod where I have to run it every time I wish to use the suit, could we instead simply drop the modded costume in a file? Basically, it's kind of like how SPiderrap's Deadpool and Wolverine suit had users drop the mod file into folder. I wish to use your mod instead as I prefer the textures, but I wish an alternative installation method. Would you help with this? It'd be awesome.
Unfortunately I can't do what Spiderrap's done, since I don't have the skills and knowledge to do what he did.
On another note, regarding Texmod, since it's an old game, I use compatibility mode as Windows XP (Serive Pack 2) to run the game as well as Texmod. You can find that option by right clicking on the .exe of the game, properties, Compatibility, Check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:", and select "Windows XP (Service Pack 2), I'd also advice you to Check "Run this program as an administrator", then hit "Apply" and "Ok", do the same thing with Texmod.exe Let me know if it worked. :)
Good news! It turned out the issue was that I didn't install the mod files properly. You see, earlier, I simply dropped them on my desktop and selected them from Texmod. No wonder it didn't work. What I did instead was go into one of my created desktop folders (called "stuff"), make a new folder inside that said "WolverineMods", added "suits" inside that, and then dropped the mod files there. I went to my Texmod and selected the mod files in said folder and voila! The movie suit finally works!
Sorry about that (especially with asking you for that alternate mod method. I understand it's not easy. It was more of a throwaway request). Still, I am grateful for you trying to help.
I just have one question: is there a way to get the mod to always load without having to access the Texmod exe? I wish to play my game from Steam (I added it as a non-Steam game) using a custom control configuration.
I don't care, I don't sympathize with this kind of thing, why can't you create your own maps? you have to use other people's hard work and you didn't even ask my permission. If you are going to change my maps, at least keep them to yourself rather than posting here and downloading through me.
Although I did credit you, I kept getting requests to reupload it. It's a shame not to share something that's free with people who request it. I'd be more than happy to let you upload my edits as a version of your own, even though I waisted hours in photoshop to get everything to my liking, because I don't care about the credit. I just want the others to enjoy the mod.
Just wanted to let you know that you should chill and not be a cunt. To quote the great man you made this awesome outfit of "Go f- yourself."
Let the man upload the skin through you dude, it ain't that deep and we want it and have options. If you don't want to, just let him do it! Like he said it's free and he credited you.

This awesome suit is all you! I just didn't wanted to bother you with specific requests :)

Just be nice dude.
*Edit: had issue with texmod, fixed, works with classic suit.*
Thank you for noticing, I've added that detail in the mod description
