v2 update (3/14/2016) - Fixes issue caused by 3/10 main game patch that was preventing SMGs from upgrading properly - Fixes issue caused by directly upgrading from conventional to beam SMGs causing you to lose weapon addons - Improvements to textures
v3 update (3/29/2016) - Fixes v2 issue in which upgrading SMGs WHILE A SOLDIER IS EQUIPPED WITH ONE will leave an invisible SMG equipped on that soldier, giving an unintended movement bonus and extra icons in the tactical UI. This will probably not fix soldiers who got the invisible SMG.
v4 update (5/12/2016) - Fixes issue caused by 5/12 main game patch in which you'd only get 1 SMG at start.
It would seem that the "FIX" or updated version of this mod in NOT retroactive, so for those that have saved games, and have already spent resources attempting to create these weapons ... tough t**ties.
It doesn't bode well for the future, when the Games Developer and their chosen "commissioned" Mod creators, can't even get their s@@t together.
It also seems that the Author's decided not to allow bug reporting of their "commissioned" mod, but the DID however remember to activate the Donate popup ...
In my experience the Nexus bug reporting system is not terribly helpful because most reports aren't detailed enough to be actionable, and for this mod we've instead chosen to rely on the comments instead. But doing so does get more difficult when we have to sift through unconstructive posts that do nothing to help us or other users.
This word you use "sift" ... I do not think it means, what you think it means. If by "sift" you believe it to mean scroll down 1 or 2 posts, then I'm sorry for all the time and effort that caused you.
In my experience the Bug Reporting System is a very handy tool, Yes you do get the occasional post that isn't very descriptive, but ALL bug reports should be looked into I believe, as a courtesy if nothing more.
It's also amusing that out of the 2 MILLION plus unique downloads (and over 8 Million downloads total), of totally amateur (i.e. non-commissioned ones that do not force the Donate pop-up) mods for say, Skyrim, not 1 single Bug has been reported.
1) You get this additional content for FREE. 2) Base game has bugs, too. 3) Everyone has a different system that works for them. Don't demand they use yours. 4) JL and co are starting up a damn company. What this means is, in the interim, modding is currently their way of making a living. Is is unreasonable of them to put up an *optional* donate tab so they can actually focus on getting their new company off the ground and still pay their bills? Not to mention their start-up costs?
Numbers 1 and 4 are the big ones here. You don't have to pay a dime. And from your attitude, I'll be surprised if you ever DO. All that donate button does is make you have to click your mouse one more time to get your free shit. It took your far more time to shitpost him than you spent getting around the popup.
I might be going overboard in this reply, but seriously.... what the hell, man?
i just upgraded my SMG and i think i've got 2 SMGs with mods when i only had 1, i'm 99% sure that i had 1 SMG with stock, and i was using that 1 SMG when i needed, after upgrade i've got 2 SMGs with same stock. just to make clear i have 2 upgraded weapons in total, 1 rifle for my infantry and 1 SMG for my sniper. thats it. so i'm pretty positive upgrading SMG from normal to magnetic just duped it.

E:\GAMES\XCOM 2\XComGame\Mods
You have to create Mods folder.
That simple.

I do love using the SMG's, but that plasma one looks horribly ugly
Thank you so much LW!
