I loved this mod, worked very well for me and helped me out a lot. However, it does not work anymore with War of the Chosen DLC. Game will start fine but no re-spec button is available. When soldier gains a promotion, game crashes. Without this mod - no such crash. Related to the way the perks and such work now, different with this DLC as there's no AWC as such. However, there can be still some random abilities under XCom section thrown in, too random per char so if this mod would work again and allow some consistency there, it would be great.

very few mods work with WOTC. it was a major overhaul and changed a ton of data files.

Did the modding communnity just die out by the time the dlc came out? There's basically no reason to use anything from nexus unless some of the mods got updated. Maybe there should be a separate site since its basically a different game, kinda like how skyrim got special edition as a separate.

I love this mod but it won't work with Both Perks When Leveling Up mod#386. Any chance someone can merge these two somehow so they can work together? Would be much appreciated.

Can you have your AWC perk still be random, but only come from OUTSIDE the character's current class?

Say I want to be a horrible human being and give one or all my soldiers an AWC perk every level. How would I go about that?

the only way to do that would be to find another mod that adds new abilities to your soldier using an independent perk list.

then, this mod will think each one of those perks is an "AWC" perk, and allow you to add an AWC perk for each one of those.

otherwise... no, you can only have one AWC perk per soldier.

I cannot get the mod to work for Psi Operatives. After reading up I've tried:
    - Using the Psi Operative, not-yet-Magus, in a mission.
    - Opening up the ability screen after every Psi level up
    and none of that worked.
After the Psi gets to Magus, I can often get the screen where you choose a Hidden Ability for the Psi, but no Ability that I choose gets added.

I don't run LW or the True Retroactive AWC. I do have a lot of UI-improvements and also Gotcha (flank preview), XCOM Map Packs, Evac All, Commander's Choice and Upgrade reminder.

The mod works brilliantly for normal soldiers (including the re-spec-button), so many thanks for that.

yeah, it's tricky, but I have gotten it to work by doing the following:

-open up the ability tree for your psi op.
-hit the key to switch to the next soldier that is a regular soldier.
-use the respec option and change the perk (you can always change it back)
-as soon as you have changed the perk, switch back to the psi op, and then hit the "exit" button.
-then, the menu for choosing an AWC perk should pop up, and you can select a perk for them.

now, sometimes this doesn't "stick" (you'll know if it doesn't because you won't get the message about getting a new perk when you click on the confirm button). if it doesn't stick, just repeat the process until it does. might take 2 or 3 tries... but it WILL work.

If you use the "Grimy's console commands" mod, you can also use his "delete AWC perk" command to remove the perk from a psiop, and then repeat the process above to choose a new perk for them. again, I have tested this repeatedly and it works.

Since it is now definitely an incompatibility problem between LW_PerkPack and this one here, is the possibility of a fix?

      It is off by default.

Open the XcomChoocableAWC.ini file found under:
      XCOM 2\XComGame\Mods\ChooseableAWC\Config

      Find the line:
      ENABLE_RESPEC_AWC_PERK_BUTTON = false

      Change that to:
      ENABLE_RESPEC_AWC_PERK_BUTTON = true

You shouldn't need to start a new game, it worked fine turning it on mid-game for me.

To find the button, go to the armory, select the soldier and open the 'soldier abilities'. It should be on the top left, above the abilities menu.

I have the same problem. Most recent version of game. Respec button does not appear no matter how I adjust the script.

      [edit]
Actually, the mod itself isn't even working. I started a new game, re-leveled some soldiers after AWC was built and the option to chose never comes up.

Other mods I have that -are- working:
      EvacAll
      NoTimers
      DisableAvatarProject

Not sure either that this mod works with the latest updates and if it is so, then it's very sad. It's a very good mod, one which literally is a "must have and must use" to me.

I also have no respec button. I enabled it in the INI file, even restarted the game a few times, to no avail.

Please update! This is an essential mod

EDIT: After some google and trail and error, managed to get it working with the latest patch following these steps.

      1) In documents, move My Games/Xcom2/Xcomgame/Config/XcomEngine.ini to the desktop
      2) Start the game, then alt-tab to desktop
      3) Move XcomEngine.ini back into the original directory, overriding the new file.
      4) Load your savegame, ignore the warning, and the mod is now activated.

After it's activated and loaded, you no longer have to repeat these steps. Seems a mod loading issue due to latest patch, otherwise it works perfectly, with RESPEC button and all.

      Tried this, still didn't work.

Definitely LW perk pack that does it, disabled that and it works fine, but I really like the LW perk pack and want both.

Enabling the button works for the latest DLC.

I was thinking the button is in the AWC, but it is not.
The Respec button is at the top left corner of the "soldier abilities" screen. Right above the soldier's name

Too bad this doesn't seem to work with LW Perkpack on the latest patch. I loved this mod

Is Snap Shot in here anywhere? I can't find it.
