ideas: trooper can either become Fireteam Leader, with abilities focused on ganking one or two tangos, or a Heavy Assault, abilities focused around punching through defenses and surviving damage.
Team Leader marks targets and provides debuff counters, as well as a Lead By Example skill where you take a risk with a pistol shot, results based on what the result is. Heavy Assault will take more damage to take down, picks up armor bonuses, and can graze through Overwatch. Maybe also picks up added utility slots?

ok fix for armor and awc geting perk find XComClassData.ini in your config folder open under [Jack X2SoldierClassTemplate] paste this dont write only copy paste this fix +bAllowAWCAbilities=1+AllowedArmors="soldier" one hit enter then second one.
Hey man, greate mod love it, however I'm having a bit of problem. Whenever I use a custom class (trooper,rouge,shock trooper...) I cant put any armor on them in the loadout screen (whicth leaves my units to be extreamly dead even if I upgreaded the armor - First armor reserch PREDATOR or whatever). Am I missing something or is it a WIP so just wait for the next update.

Start the launcher and activate trooper mod. It worked for me. I´m gonna use this until it´s back on steam workshop.
If it doesn´t show up on launcher mod list, then you´ve maybee not unzipped the file
