About this mod

Replaces character names in XCOM2 with namelists that are considerably more robust, accurate, and proportionate than the ones that ship with the game. This mod expands every default character namelist in the game from a few dozen to a few hundred or thousand. Ethnic minorities and common names also appear in rough proportion to their popularity.

IMMERSIVE NAMES 1.5 LEGACY VERSION

** THIS VERSION IS FOR VANILLA X-COM 2 & LONG WAR 2 **

IMMERSIVE NAMES replaces character names in XCOM2 with namelists that are considerably more robust, accurate, and proportionate than the ones that ship with the game. This mod expands every default character namelist in the game from a few dozen to a few hundred or thousand. Common first and last names also appear in rough proportion to their popularity. Ethnic minorities are represented in real-world proportions and typically draw from separate namelists. Every country in the base game now has researched namelists that should fairly reflect the names found in those countries today.

VERSION 1.5: WotC UPDATE provides Immersive Names in a Vanilla/Long War 2-friendly package, and ports changes made in More Nations and Names 1.1.

**NOTE**: I've updated this mod to work well with the WotC Launcher but I don't have plans to expand this mod any further. If you want a similar mod with more countries and future updates, please consider More Nations and Names LEGACY instead: http://www.nexusmods.com/xcom2/mods/648/?tab=1

1.5 CHANGELOG:

* Activates Indonesia in the game, which was included in the original game code but not activated due to lack of a namelist. Namelist pulled from More Nations mod.

* Reworked Russian ethnic namelists to eliminate clearly non-Russian ethnic names

* Changed the overall balance of default languages to create more variability of languages encountered during gameplay:
+ European countries whose native language isn't represented in the game now no longer defaults to American English, but rather to the nearest country whose language is included.
+ Countries with an English colonial background and a non-European primary language will default to British English, save South Africa which defaults to Australian English.
+ Both Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries will now all default to Spanish.

Or reach out to me if you don't have time; if I like your mod I could be open to the idea of doing it myself. Reach out to me on the Nexus, or in the Steam Workshop comment section of the mod; just be advised that I don't hang out in these places all the time and may not get back to you promptly.
