So basically a nerf? And no it doesn't make more sense. What would make more sense but be to complex, is per the IEEE standard that all engineers are scientists but not all scientists are engineers is to allow all to act as either but maybe have mods if assigned to a certain task (specialization).

i have to disagree with what you said. it would make more sense for a scientist to run the AWC and Psi Lab since the medical and medicine field falls under science rather then construction which engineers usually do. also makes no sense at all how all engineers are scientists. since engineers are pretty much construction workers, and since when do construction workers have such vast understanding of human anatomy?

      From Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engineer):

An engineer is a practitioner of engineering, concerned with applying scientific knowledge, mathematics, and ingenuity to develop solutions for technical, societal and commercial problems. Engineers design materials, structures, and systems while considering the limitations imposed by practicality, regulation, safety, and cost.[1][2] The word engineer is derived from the Latin words ingeniare ("to contrive, devise") and ingenium ("cleverness").[3][4]

More Specifically this bit about Biomedical engineering:

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biomedical_engineering

Biomedical engineering (BME) is the application of engineering principles and design concepts to medicine and biology for healthcare purposes (e.g. diagnostic or therapeutic). This field seeks to close the gap between engineering and medicine: It combines the design and problem solving skills of engineering with medical and biological sciences to advance health care treatment, including diagnosis, monitoring, and therapy.[1]

I thought XCOM was based on real life event. I hate when others make mod for my SINGLE PLAYER GAME!

Bro u CANT use wikipedia as source XDDD. And nowadays EVERYTHING is called "engineering" for the sake of scaming people when studying. Not every engineer is a scientist, thats stupid. Are u really going to say that a f*#@ing commercial engineer is a scientist????. Engineer CAN be scientist just like scientist CAN be engineer but they arent by default both. It depends on the work u do and the specializations u make :) Is not that hard guys :)

And also btw XCOM IS NOT REALISTIC. Stop making that absurd statement. they simplify a lot of stuff, make up things that arent possible at all (with absolutely no problem, its sci fi for a reason LOL). So dont make those arguments pls. If u like this mod, great, if u dont. Great. BUT from a military perspective Engineers woundt make sense at all neither scientist. The more realistic stuff would be a mix of different teams assigned to each part necesary to make these level of stuff done. Engineer AND scientist + all the people needed to do all the stuff :)

Great mod but research time doesn't change when I assign a scientist. Did the latest patch break it?
