Hi, Idk why when I change the names of the ranks in the xcom ini file nothing happens ingame. I'm substituting the names of your ranks with mine but I get the vanilla ones, any help? thanks

hmm, doesn't make sense for me. How do they call them self in the battle? "XCom 7 Kelly, what are your orders? Maybe Adjusting them a little bit downwards, to not have generals on the battlefields, makes more sense and there a lot lower ranks in u.s. army (and even in a worldwide army they would you US ranks, because, you know America )

X7 Kelly works for me Also I was trying to avoid country military ranks, not only because a mod already exists that changes them to US NCO ranks, but also because I desired an international ranking system fit for an international organization such as XCOM

Actually it makes a lot of sense. In a situation like this a new ranking system such as you`ve mentioned would likely be used. On the other hand, it isn`t impossible that everyone would just accept the system of whoever is generally in charge of Xcom, so if it was mostly a British or US system in charge (and it seems to be US) then I guess we`d just learn to accept the US military usage.

Pretty cool, would installing this with mod manager work?

I'm now sure how the mod manager would work, as I've yet to use it with XCOM ini files. If you've already made changes to your XcomGame file in INT, it may overwrite the changes. Please make a backup before trying!

If it does overwrite, a workaround is to open up my file, ctrl + f, search for "RankNames" without quotes, and then copy And paste the ranks into your file in the same location.
