Is there any way to make this work with Warspace Extension? The ini contains the default values, and I can get to the modded values by loading xcomgame.exe, but then changing values and saving em will corrupt the .exe (note that I didnt expect this to work, just wanted to try).
I really like the mod, but I also feel like laser weapons are so horrible when taking into account the investment and time you put into researching them. Only heavy lasers are worth it, due to flush/supression costing that much ammo.
Hmm, also, Starting Cash needs to have its cap removed. I've manually modified this setting to 100,000 and it worked just fine. Your program can only go up to 999. (Same with many other stats that I've been able to set higher manually, such as AIM and WILL on soldiers.)
I created the XCOM Meddler to support my own modding efforts with the Battlescape mod. It was never my intention to create a modding tool. My passion was in creating a mod that made XCOM more enjoyable.
Several people asked me to share the meddler, and I did reluctantly. However, I'm almost finished with the Battlescape mod and XCOM now; so I don't think I'll be spending any more time on the meddler unless someone uncovers a critical bug such as corrupting the defaultgamecore file.

Really nice program, but being unable to modify more than 'Property 1' on, for example, weapons needs to be changed. While we could hope that they would have nice, neat rows, everything sorted properly, they do not; some of the properties for weapons are tossed into 2, or even 3, even though there are no properties in 1 or 2 in that case. They just sort of tossed them around randomly. Not that big of a deal though, I can do my main editing with this, and then just manually edit them within the file. Still, would like to see the other properties slots added to this.
Do the steps earlier in the thread still apply with the DLC?
Whenever an update to XCOM is published on Steam, I have to delete xcom-original.exe before running modpatcher. They recently published a hotfix related to the DLC.
Thanks for this tool, however i am very new to modding XCOM, is it possible for someone to pls post the steps i should take to start editing? i am completely lost as to what to do with the mod and what file i need to edit.
I really want to increase the amount of money i have at the start of the game and edit the number of items a soldier can carry from 1 to 2.
your assistance is greatly appreciated.
regards
I think the information you are looking for is on some of the earlier posts on this thread.
