Thanks a lot for making this. Finally an answer for those awkward situations where you promote someone you shouldn't have. If/when I can get out of this existential hell I'm currently in I will come back to donate.
If this mod allow you to promote psionic to officers and vice versa it wasn't intentional, it is a side effect. I was aiming to only allow augmentation of officers and psi.
Anyway, you can't separate this things. All this mod does - is changing the function that check whether a unit is eligible to be converted to a MEC and force it to always return true. May be the game uses the same function when checking eligibility promoting psionics to officers, I don't know.

Should be a mod conflict. Because all this mod doing is return FALSE instead of TRUE in 2 places of code (when game checking augmentation eligibility).
Wondering if this works with latest version of LW? I am trying it but so far i do not have option to make my soldiers officer's will try that before i do other testing like make that officer psi. Then i'll try making psi / officer or psi/mech or officer/mec

I'm using a lot of mods, but I think you mean nTex by Neonin or Re-CoLoRing Projects by Zyxpsilon. I use both.
Could you add an extra functionality to it like psi training an officer? It would be awesome!

AFAIK, if you applying this mod to ongoing campaign, your existing officers need to be promoted to next officer rank to access Psi
