Since there are no difficulties with Enemy Within (Angelsilhouettes comment 01 Jan. 16, 9:41PM), will there ever be a Mod which runs with Xcom Enemy Unknown?
Obelix' best friend is "I'd fix" isn't it? Would be awsome, if you're willing to create and upload an optional Mod for us Vanillas!
I just cant get any Texmod textures to load. I have texture settings set to high and they used to work but since Long War 1.0 I cant seem to get any new textures working. I saw this pack, tested with LW 1.0 and thought my prayers were answered but still nothing. Any advice for a guy who just wants his XCom Long War game to look pretty?
Make sure your antivirus and razor cortex is turned off when you try to run texmod.. dont know why, but they seem to be causing problems with texmod :/
I dont have any Razer products installed so I dont think that is the issue. I tried that uninstalling my anti-virus and replacing it with a completely new one and Texmod still doesnt seem to work. I even tried running it in the brief period between anti-viruses
For some reason, The MEC textures don't load, I have sleeve genie, Sweet FX with a few settings.. and that's about it. i have my textures set to high, i have Flags, Facepaint, And all three TPS files for urban camo.
i tried to google for wineskin + textmod and stumbled on this https://www.reddit.com/r/GuildWars/comments/3d6lke/texmod_on_mac/
give it a read.. it might help you.. I don´t use Mac myself so have no idea how everything works there, so if this dosent work, sorry, cant help you more
These are my favourite camo skins for XCom, and I've tried them all. They look awesome, thanks Obelix! If you're having trouble installing with regular Texmod, try searching for Easy TexMod here on the Nexus.
First of all, thank you for the mod. This post is mainly for those like me, who spent many hours to find how to play with this mod. I'm not sure it will be helpful for everyone but at least it solved my issue (textmod with mod running but nothing happened in game). 1 - Download the zip file 2 - Follow the standard process of extraction (example in my case : G:\Steam\SteamApps\common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XEW\Binaries\Win32) 3 - Rename XcomLauncher.exe (example in my case : XcomLauncherReal.exe) and rename Texmod.exe as XcomLauncher.exe 4 - For specific language (mine is french) change the language in the engine config file set in Documents\My Games\XCOM - Enemy Within\XComGame\Config\XComEngine.ini. Replace the line Language=INT by your favorite language (example in my case Language=FRA) 5 (The most important point which solved my issue) - Select the Ennemy Within executable instead of renamed Launcher (example in my case : G:\Steam\SteamApps\common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XEW\Binaries\Win32\XcomEW.exe) 6 - Choose your texture mods 7 - Be sure to desactivate your Antivirus (Error D'OH) before clicking on apply 8 - Enjoy ^^
I have no crashes, no errors, nothing like that - it just simply doesn't load the textures when I start the game I've done exactly as the tutorials say, but it's as if it isn't loading any of the textures from the texmod. I'm using vanilla Enemy Within, but I've seen people on YouTube playing the vanilla game with these mods working, so I'm not sure why they won't. Textures are on "high" as well, so that' not the issue. Can anyone help me out getting these to work?
I have to admit i have no idea if this mods works with vanilla as its been made with Long War in mind.. but other than that, have you tried using other mods?
Step 1 to know if your texmod is injecting the textures is this.. Does the game take longer to load than normal (without textures).. if not then there is most likely something blocking texmod (antivirus or the Razer Cortex program)
IF the game takes longer to load but no changes are showing up, the mod might not be compatible with vanilla
