First of all, I wanted to thank you for making my Gaming Experience better. You will be remembered with honour.
My question(s) is this 1) Is it possible to use all your voice packs together. (I've followed the instructions for all of them, and just added in the lines to the appropriate config file) 2) Is it possible to have a label come up rather than just seeing "unassigned" 3) If 2 is not possible, how do I know which voices are which (having only played Mass Effect, and not the other games)
1) Yes, I've assigned all of them to different languages so using one wont break another. 2) I never tried it but changing labels in XComStrategyGame.int might work (located in <Path to xcom>\XEW\XComGame\Localization\INT\XComStrategyGame.int, look for: SOLDIER CUSTOMIZE [UISoldierCustomize]). Or it will break the game - you can always make a backup file if you want to experiment with it. 3) You can write down the numbers of languages the voicepack's were assigned to - they all show up inna fix order. For example GoW Voicepacks are assigned to language 34 - just look up the text I asked to add while installing.
Just to add, for latecomers to this mod (like me ):
1) Yes, and if you're slightly OCD like me, you can move them around by changing the "Language=" number and the number right behind "_FemaleSoldier" or "_MaleSoldier". Just make sure no two audio packs use the exact same "Language=" and "_FemaleSoldier/_MaleSoldier" name
2) Yes, in XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XEW\XComGame\Localization\INT" find the file "XComStrategyGame.int" and replace the relevant "m_arrLanguages" line (match the number in the brackets with the "Language=" number. Won't break the game as long as you limit yourself to letters, numbers, space, and parens.
3) I actually clump ALL voicepacks into Language=32 "(Custom)" and just cycle until I the voice felt "matching" with the soldier's look. Assaults are more foulmouthed ones, heavies the more aggressive ones, and snipers the more laid-back ones
Xcom is not picking the voice files at all, I added the stupid lines to the text document like I am supposed to, the unassigned category picks up, but the voices will not play at all. The Zombies one, Deadpool, and Battlefield all work except for this one.
Edit: Looks like I forgot that I was trying to change the numbering to fix some compatibility issues with other voice packs, that is what caused the voicepacks to not work, I was wondering why it worked fine before, but not now. Sorry! I am an idiot, still new to doing this stuff.
If there were any good tutorials I would have started to work on them myself already. I have a basic idea how to do them, however they simply wouldn't be good - there is quite a few things that I don't know and that would result in a product with many mistakes - and I certainly want to avoid that. I really hope I will find some solutions soon but for now please wait.
How do you do step 2 for the vanilla version? I got the PatcherGUI but when I try to open the voices it says "[SEVERE] Failed to load mod file 'GetPossibleVoices.upk_mod'"
Seems like it opened at least some of it though but I have no idea how to fix that and/or how to patch it into the game
Yeah, I'm aware that step 2 causes weird problems for some people, but don't worry, you can actually skip this step and the mod will still work. This step was a set up for releasing more female voices in a single package than the game supports, but its kinda unlikely to happen at this point, so you can simply forget about it. Other steps are required however.

With this mod I am able to get through LW withou too much frustration (like the voice of the black guy)
May I ask for a copy?
