A carapace armor on my woman infantry... has gone from looking like i wanted to play something else to... looking like i really anticipate my unlocking of *all* armors now... And all without me having to tinker with .ini files any further.
This mod fixed a visual bug for me where endgame armors woul be stuck looking like carapace armor. The cause for that was a conflict between previously equiped armor having different decos, while endgame armors do not, so they would overlap and f*#@ the visuals. Thank god for this mod, man.
Is there a way, in The Long War, to make the sleeveless models only appear on the gene modded soldiers? In other words, make The Long War work like the vanilla game in this one respect.
I had forgotten how cool the armors looked with sleeves. They are completely different. LW simply applied the same sleeveless model to a lot of armors (psi) making the soldiers look like morons. 1,000,000 thanks!
I'm not sure if it's on purpose but it turn my kestrel armors into vortex (visually). It's a bit strange to see that low tech armor looking like top-tier-psy gear.
Edit: Manually editing defaultcontent.ini has the same effect. It's then not an issue with Sleeve Genie.

i have the same problem, i also use a couple of texture mods, sweetfx and longwar...could be those mods related with this issue?

The only mod that could conflict I can think of is nTex. LWreTex may be an alternative but it may very well be an issue with texmod (or something totally different).
nope, i dont use neither nTex or LWreTex, i tried playing without any texture pack...and the error persist...im losing my mind because i refuse to go back to vainilla sleeves-less armors.....but also i want to use the kestrel to my snipers but is gamebreaking seeing them using vortex armors so early in my campaing :/

i use a bunch of visual mods, but i already certified they doesnt have any kind of relation with this (playing with and without textmod and also without sweetfx), so any tpf or visual mod may not be the source of the problem.
The only things we have in common appear to be enhanced Tactical Info and Long War Customize Unique Soldier Stats/furies-annette-psi perk. I can hardly imagine how any of those may mess with the model used for the kestrel.
im running out of ideas, also reverting to vainilla and manually deleting the GM portion of the codelines inside default.ini just make the models dissapear , im trying to reeplace the kestrel model with the TAC SUIT from military camo mod so at least it would look like sam fisher instead of the vortex armor...but i dont have any idea how to do this :/.....
hey katy , i finally was able to watch your pictures...and yes you actually point out "the issue" the kestrel armor looks way too advanced for that tier. It looks like a slimmer/lighter AEGIS-TITAN armor... im not sure but in my humble opinion, if you take a glare to the tiers, the banshee armor model looks almost perfect for this "level", so is there a way to exchange those models?

It is possible, in DefaultContent.ini to alter: UnitPackageInfo=(PawnType=ePawnType_Male_3_Ghost_GM,ArchetypeName="Soldier_MaleGhost.ARC_MaleGhost") and UnitPackageInfo=(PawnType=ePawnType_Female_3_Ghost_GM,ArchetypeName="Soldier_FemaleGhost.ARC_FemaleGhost")
Replacing the second and third occurence of "Ghost" in each line with "Skeleton" make the soldiers use the Kestrel armor in the barracks but it also prevents the soldier from spawning during mission. An awesome mod, thank you very much! I could not get the Revenge of Sleeves working and this mod saved the lives of my soldiers and pleased the fashion police.
I have still a question, though. It seems that although the sleeves are added back, the additional armor items (like sniper shoulder pads, binoculars, etc.) are missing. Am I doing something wrong?
Hello. Thanks for the mod, and its simple installation! Works well, but there is one bug: the country flag is not displayed on the Titan armor, and this bug is only for one soldier. XCOM EW vanilla license.
