For the people who have the problem of Texmod failing to load the textures in your folder: i somehow managed to fix this by adding the " quotation marks to the beginning and end of the "Select Texture Folder" field in the exe. They don't appear in the program once i re-launch it but it still somehow fixed that problem for me.
How do I use this with multiple games that use texmod? It just remembers the last game modded. is there a way of making texmod store a file alongside the game that makes it run in "portable" mode?
I'm trying to use this in WINE on Linux. Texmod launches, but the executable is not selected when the explorer window opens. Mouse inputs seem to be working but keyboard inputs may be the issue. Is there a library required that I am missing? I'm running NFSMW so all I have installed is vcrun 2005, directx9 and vbrun6.
If you want to lunch the game from your .exe file (not from steam) Do this: Only works with fresh installed XCOM (or make sure you are using your original exe files)! 1) backup your all your .exe files 2) remove "XCOMLauncher.exe" and rename XComEW.exe -> to "XCOMLauncher.exe" 3) now install the easyTextMod according to the instructions provided, hope it works for you as well :)
I'm using windows 10 trying to use this for Enemy Within. I have correctly set the XComEW.exe as well as the textures folder within EasyTexMod, but when I launch the game from steam, it automates, but it clicks on the "saves" folder and then gets stuck there (because there's no .exe) and nothing happens. I tried increasing the auto input delay but it just stays stuck in the saves folder. What am I missing?
I think a Win10 update screwed something up. A few months I was playing it just fine, and now this happens to me as well. Even if you manage to make it so it picks up the .exe it doesnt go to the texture folder either so it doesn't load any .tpf files
