The first mission of this mod is the most hardest part of this mod because you don't yet have In the Zone. Is there a way to beat the first mission without having to restart 5 times before having to get a new map?
What I meant is that I don't see how you're supposed to do EXALT missions. The way I see it is that you cannot send more than one soldier on a mission. So that way you send the guy in and are not able to retrieve him.
It was inspired by the famous Lone-Wolf achievement i would have to presume. Just like a highly customized pseudo-campaign (with some specific conditions) that could last an entire game. Certainly is a very cool gameplay concept.
Some Aliens aren't really fooled by Cloaking -- though.
The aliens 'know' when they are being observed, and when they are flanked, even if they cannot see the enemy. This knowledge expands to your exact location when you take a hostile action (hostile: moving in view, reloading, steadying, shooting, but not overwatch). They still can't see you, but they will move to flank you (or surround you if melee).
They will 'forget' your location if you move out of sight and remain out of sight for one alien turn. When this happens they will either switch to searching for you (random walk search), or return to their patrol path.
Big problems with shooting from cover while stealthed and ending up out of cover or inside nearby terrain objects.
The situation occurs when you fire from stealth while in cover:
1. Soldier steps out to fire, still stealthed 2. Soldier falls back into cover 3. Soldier de-stealths 4. Soldier fires through cover 5. Soldier takes another step back into cover laterally
5 doesn't always happen, probably about 50% of the time in my experience. When it does happen, if there is no cover adjacent to the cover you were hiding behind, you are placed in the open. If you've taken cover next to terrain such as a train carriage, you end up inside it, possibly completely unable to move as there is no walk path.
I have ended up inside the crates in a train carriage, in the front cab of a truck, inside the green gas dispensing alien objects that a high cover and so on.
Heyo. I'm Canas Dark, and I was bored. As such, I created a Google Document with my interpretation of a translation for the description page.
Still a work in progress, and has no official support from the Author, klandigos. I can't read the original files all that well, but hopefully this will help those who are confused just a bit. Anybody can comment on the document, so if you see any problems, flag them and I'll consider fixing them.
Only problem is... I'm having trouble linking the document. Hmm. I'll look into it...
I'm sure that the author or someone else translate it for you from russian to english. And this mod is really AWESOME! Best regards from me to the mods author (Мои лучшие пожелания автору мода, исправляй и дополняй эту концепцию, идея отличная)

You have some pistol options, but it's hard. Make sure you do the foundry upgrades for pistols and get the best pistol you can before going in.
