This modification makes the following changes to the rank systems. This mod is more for personal use, but I figured there's no harm in posting it up on the nexus. The intent of this was to make it more fitting of an international covert organization. It didn't make sense for several Majors and up to be on the front-lines but at the same time there were no modern military ranks that really fit X-Com.
So, Grade's represent the skill level and experience that a Soldier has. Since all the soldiers are controlled by Commander it seems rather pointless for Soldiers to have command ranks. Now instead, they're rated on how good they are as Soldiers and Warriors. It makes sense too because as they go up in Grades they get better stats and unlock new abilities which represents their new skill level and experience.
Aptitude, as the name suggests represents how good a Soldier is at using and controlling his/her Psionic powers. If a Soldier is of better aptitude, then obviously they'll be able to use better abilities and so on. That's basically the logic behind all of my changes.
Soldier Ranks - Abbreviation Grade Zero - G0. Grade One - G1. Grade Two - G2. Grade Three - G3. Grade Four - G4. Grade Five - G5. Grade Six - G6. Grade Seven - G7.
Psionic Ranks - Abbreviation None - None Aptitude One - A1. Aptitude Two - A2. Aptitude Three - A3. Aptitude Four - A4.
